Would that work just to remove dark tear stains on a Bichon?

It will help to keep the area under the eyes clean once you have addressed the root cause of the tear stains. Please see B00CN7KU58 Miracle Eyes which we sell specifically for that purpose. Available in multiple sizes and 3 different flavors. Vegan flavored with vanilla. On this page you will also find complete information to address the root cause of dark tear stains. Thank you for your question.

will this help treat styes to make them go away?

You need to see a Vet ASAP~! That is serious if you don't treat. This product just is a gauze pad that wipes the mucous or loose crud around the dogs eyes.
