Excellent, taste great

I was using Simply Organic cinnamon that I learned had been tested to have high levels of the toxin coumarin (toxic to the liver and also a possible carcinogen) so needed to find something else since I have cinnamon on my whole wheat toast every day. The same lab that tested Simply Organic also tested this and found it to have next to no coumarin, which is one of the benefits of real Ceylon cinnamon compared to the more common cassia cinnamon. Several cinnamon products have also been found to contain concerning levels of lead, and this was also found to have low levels of lead as well. Ceylon cinnamon is a higher grade of cinnamon but is more mild so you may need to use a little more, and it is typically more expensive but buying this in the one pound bag actually makes it significantly cheaper than buying cassia cinnamon spices in the shaker bottles, and it’s also organic that is an added benefit. You may need a funnel and a shaker bottle for dispensing, and I just washed and repurposed my Simply Organic bottle and made a funnel by cutting off the top third of an empty plastic water bottle. Considering the higher quality, fewer toxins, and relatively low price here I’ll never buy regular cinnamon ever again.

Health 'experts' warn of consuming too much Saigon cinnamon which led us to give the Sri Lankan cinnamon a try. Looks like what we're used to. Tastes different. Lighter, flowery maybe, hard to describe but I do enjoy it as much as ever on the morning bowl of Bob's Red Mill Steel Cut Oats. Tastes good, good for you they say. Inexpensive when purchased in this quantity. Perhaps this is an acquired taste but so far, I'm all for it. Buy a pound and give it a whirl.....

Love it! Smells and tastes so good

This is a huge 16 oz package of powdered cinnamon. It is not as fragrant as expected but full flavored when it is used in recipes. I will need to make a lot of cinnamon rolls to use this spice before the expiration date in 2 and 1/2 years.

As advertised. Did not open yet but we have bought it previously and the taste and flavor is great. In addition, it stay fresh in a closed box for weeks. We are using it with homemade yoghurt, add on coffee or with Hungarian gomboc (plum dumplings)

Top notch cinnamon. Ceylon is the best kind of cinnamon to purchase.
