Beautiful, perfect.
I bought a smaller version of this Hastings thermal carafe 6 years ago and have been using it for tea every day. I love it and I am still using it. I decided I wanted a bigger carafe for my tea and of course I had to come back to Hastings. My older, smaller carafe will now hold my morning coffee. This carafe keeps drinks hot, it is a beautiful piece to have sitting on my counter all day and I very much appreciate the metal basket for my teas. I only wish the bigger basket was all metal as well. I do not use it because I don't think boiling water on plastic is a good idea. Other than that, this is an excellent product and I am sure I will get many years use out of it.

Sleek, elegant, practical
I bought the venera thermal carafe after buying and falling in love with my 50oz lagom. I have another thermal carafe from another brand that can hold the same amount of volume (68oz), and that one feels very big and bulky for daily use so I expected to feel that way about this one. To my surprise, the venera is sleek, elegant, and beautiful in person; for how big it looks, it holds an incredible amount of liquid! The thermal capabilities are good; it keeps my tea at my preferred temperature for about 3 hours, but still warm enough to drink after about 6 hours. I love the strainers so much; the mesh one is perfect for brewing my green teas and oolong teas, as they need room to expand for the flavors to come out. I'd love if they could be sold separately as well so I can buy extras! The areas that I wish were improved are 1. the wood on the handle starts to peel over time, 2. the area where the plastic and metal meet is hard to clean, and is easily stained by tea and coffee, and 3. while the heating is fairly good and stays warm for a few hours, I do have another carafe that can stay warm for twice as long. I hope in the future, the Hastings carafes will match it. With that being said, the minimalistic design of the Hastings carafes cannot be beat. They're beautiful as they are practical and functional. Despite some of my other thermals having an edge on how long they keep liquids warm, the Hastings ones still remain my go-to for every day use and most recommended to friends.

Good, not great
It does keep liquid hot for a while. I like the way it looks but thought it would be a little smaller. It would be better smaller, and the design would read better a little smaller. I got the white one, the finish is nice. I just took both filters out since I usually use it for hot water. It's nice to be able to sit on the couch and refill my tea cup without having to get up and boil some more. The handle feels nice, and the handle to pot connection is smooth. The not so good:The button is loud and feels slightly janky. We'll see how it holds up.You have to tilt it much farther than comfortable to get liquid out past the halfway point. It's probably because of the triangular shape.So.. it's kind of annoying in some ways, but not enough to make me return it. If you have bad wrists though, get a cylinder shaped one instead of this.

It's the best!
I eyed this carafe for a while. It's a little pricier than some of the alternatives so I kept second guessing if I should get it. Honestly, one of the best purchases I've made this winter.1. It's beautiful. I don't mind having it out on my counter2. Perfect cup every time. I find if I make a karafe of tea in the morning I have perfectly hot tea ALL DAY long. I simply add the milk and honey after the tea is brewed and then take the whole thing to my desk with a cup. Any time I take a sip of tea and it's not hot enough anymore I just top off the cup from the carafe and I'm back in business.3. Easy to clean. You'll need to get over that the strainer will stain with the coffee and tea, but I love that the top of the carafe is wide enough to easily stick my hand in and give it a quick scrub.4. It genuinely feels like quality. Even my husband who wasn't initially on board with us needing one has started using it and has mentioned multiple times how impressed he is with the quality and design.

It's Amazing!
I love the style, durability, practicality, and usability. I've ordered and returned so many thermos, but this is the only one that kept the water hot for as long as 12h, sometimes, even longer. I highly recommend it. I ordered white, it matches my aesthetic as you can see. Love the handle. The product is made of high quality. I think I will buy another to give as a gift to my daughter, who loves to drink hot tea!

Just because it looks good and costs more doesn't mean it works!
I thought I had found the perfect carafe, large and beautiful! I am so disappointed with it I wish I had saved my money! It does a terrible job keeping things hot even when preheating with boiling water. I did a test with my old carafe and it lost at 4-6 degrees faster every 2 hours. You might get 4 hours of warm coffee at best. Since that is a primary purpose of buying a thermal carafe I would say skip this one. The design is beautiful, quality is good, but it simply doesn't keep beverages hot very long. The inside mesh filter probably works for tea, but not for coffee unless ground very coarsely. despite the attached filter, you will get a mouthful of mud when you reach the end if you are using pre-ground coffee. Since we bought this for using while camping, having an additional grinder along isn't an option. It is far to expensive for the lack of performance. Finish also wears off very easily. Save your money!
