Very powerful- Highly recommend it!
Really great item, very powerful and does a great job! We had some really tall thick trees to cut back and it worked a treat. It’s a little bit heavy but probably needs to be to do the job! Highly recommend it! The accessory that came with it is great too!

Quite useful
robustly built ... value for money ...2 issues though1) cant operate without extension pole so cant reach hedges close to your body.. have to drop back.2) top heavy as motors are at the top .. so cant extend your hands for reaching extra height (dropped my chainsaw twice as couldn't hold on after extending my arms)but overall a nice buy

Great machine
Got at least 30 Leylandi in back garden which had grown to at least 25ft...Used a hand saw and sheers for years to trim them which took a lifetime ☹️ Now I can chop them down to a reasonable height and chop up the waste in no time 😁 ... FANTASTIC BIT OF KIT 👍🏻

DANGEROUS - & MUST PAY TO RETURN IT!
So many issues with this product:1. There are NO instructions for this dangerous item, just a poor diagram of parts.2. It is badly made, e.g. the screw holes for the guard are not properly drilled or aligned, meaning you can't fit the guard properly (another reviewer has referred to a gap elsewhere on the machine they had to glue a washer to!)3. There is no way to keep the telescopic pole extended, keeping it fixed in place. This meant when I lifted it up it snapped shut on the palm of my hand, below my thumb, badly pinching and hurting it.4. There is a single screw supplied which might be to try and tighten the pole in place (no instructions so who knows!) but the nut which came with it would only go on at the very end, it was so badly made. It couldn't screw down the length of the screw to hold it tightly in place.5. The harness is ridiculous, you'd have to put the bottom of the pole in it, making it completely top heavy and unwieldy, you wouldn't be able to reach your hands far enough up it to control it.I had no idea how to assemble the chainsaw with no instructions. Even if you can figure it out, bearing in mind how cost-cutting this company has been, do you really want to risk your limbs? (There may well be other invisible defects). I don't.When I tried to return it for being damaged/defective/un-useable the seller wants ME to pay postage - which would be expensive as it's a heavy item.I have other Vonhaus items which are great, but this isn't really Vonhaus, it's a sub-company with very poor quality control. For the sake of an instruction manual, a nut which doesn't fit and the absence of a proper locking mechanism for the pole they've lost my sale. Please don't give them your money. Be careful that whatever product you buy has free returns.

Very happy.
Just bought one of these. Arrived a day early.Easy to assemble with a bit of common sense. Never had a chainsaw before and you need to assemble the chain mechanism, but simple enough.Very sturdy, well made and has a really robust feel to it.Yes, it is a little bit heavy when fully extended but all of these things are because the motor for the tools is at the far end of the extension. If you wear the harness properly it is more than bearable.I have tried the saw and it comfortably went through a 3 inch diameter branch, like a knife through butter.Mainly used the hedge trimmer this afternoon and it did everything I asked of it. I have done a job today that took me 1 hour. Last year it took me 6 hours up and down ladders. I have also been able to reach parts of a riverbank in my garden that have never been touched. If this is the type of tool you are researching, then dont waste any more time. BUY THIS ONE.

Well made but costs less if bought direct
Firstly, to save people potentially making the same mistake as me, and I'm sure it's down to me not reading the blurb properly, this pack contains two tools and one handle, I miss read the ‘2 in 1’ as a twin pack and to be honest, the pictures are a little misleading showing both tools, complete, side by side. But my mistake aside, moving on. The items seem well made with good quality plastics, no rattles or squeaks. The instructions are more a guide I’d say, with diagrams, as opposed to step by step instructions for putting the items together, that said, most people buying this will be practical (hopefully) so that shouldn't be an issue. Swapping between the two tools is not as quick as I would have liked with 5 bolts to loosen/tighten – so if you were hoping for a rapid change over – think again. That said, once attached the tools are good and tight – as you’d hope. Weight, as expected I’d say, top heavy as the motors (unlike petrol variants) are at the end of the pole rather than next to the operator – but initial use doesn’t seem to suggest it would be a problem – you can always use the supplied harness (which I’m sure for health and safety reasons you are supposed to use anyway). I’ve only used the chainsaw so far and it does the job, compared to my petrol Stihl chain saw the cut is rougher (I’ve checked and this model has fewer teeth per inch) and the pull in/push back is more pronounced – not an issue for me really as I’ll only be using it for hacking anyway – but if you were looking for a super fine finish it might be a problem. It might change with practice but I found sighting the cut around the large cutting head tricky and on full extension the tool did tend to bounce a little – again, not a show stopper but worth mentioning. As for the hedge trimmer, it seems smooth when running under no load and the blades are sharp – I’m sure for sensible cuts it will do a good job.

Excellent garden tool. Well designed. Well made
I used the hedge trimmer to finally trim a 3m plus hedge. Side and top. I used the chainsaw and a step ladder to tame a huge apple tree 10m plus high. Apples just too high up to pick. Next year should be better. Very pleased with this tool. Excellent product. Should last for years. Use ear protection. Take care with booth tool heads.
