Kallikkattu Edhihasam (the epic of Kallikkadu, in literal translation) is one of the novels written by the eminent Vairamuthu. It tells the agonising tale of a marginal farmer of a riverbed region of the Theni belt in southern Tamil Nadu. Kallikattu Ithikasam" - a confluence of various emotions like sadness, sufferings and depression—crammed his mind for more than four decades. Finally, when it exploded, the natives of `Kallikadugal' found their biographies in the book. But with a silver lining. Worth the money

I swear tears will rooled out while completing novel even an person ruff and tuff
Literally i just engrossed with 'paeyadevar' character. The author described farmers very brilliant ways and of course its real stories he revealed.The story portrays the tears, blood and pain of the villagers whose families were crushed as a result of modernization. The soul of the novel echoes the truth behind the values of the agrarian India and the virtues of farmers which is eternal.

Very nice and naturalistic village story..vaigai dam is near by my home town..after read this book, i know the histroy of vaigai dam..peyathevar character is amazing one..
