GERMANUS Lighter for Candles

I love it, really good quality unique piece better than what I was expecting.

Took a while to find this cigarette lighter, don't be fooled by the product title!It is around the same size and weight of a full size Zippo - that is were the comparison ends...Filling, always lay a soft cloth out to unscrew either Gas or Flint, with Flint I found it easier to rotate the upside down lighter between thumb and forefinger, thumbnail holding the flint cover and spring, your thumb can slowly release, instead of it going sideways off the tip of a screwdriver. If that happens and you loose the spring a Clipper lighter spring will do the job. Gas is easy - the can nozzle doesn't need a special adaptor, so any butane brand for lighters will fill it no issue, again best upside down on a soft cloth over a hard surface, literally 2 bumps with the gas and you can see a bubble through the level indicator, a sweet little touch I might add.I will echo the other review of it's striking design similarities to the Ronson variflame - but at around half the price I wonder if it has the same English build quality....for sure those things can stand a drop after drop and clumsy ownership - I hope this one is just as tough.Another thing I should mention is the fact it's a soft flame with a good height adjustment, it's not fully windproof but not bad. Jets - OK while they last, but always fail when you need them, this design is inherently more reliable.I like the brushed stainless finish, the weight, the economic running and design, a functional classic lighter.A little over a month and it's failed! Gutted I've returned it but it seems to be in a postal loop, cost me £10 to return it to Slovakia, Chinese copy of a Ronson, but nowhere near as good. Bought a Ronson varaflame premier on eBay for £30 and couldn't be happier, the Germanus, is in fact Chin-anus.

I love this lighter ♥️. It's gorgeous to look at- a lovely brushed silver effect. It has a premium feel and is a good weight and most importantly it works beautifully- smooth with a strong flame. It arrived quickly in a nice box with spare flints. I am delighted with this lighter and absolutely recommend it. It gets lots of compliments too 😁👍

I found it very difficult to fill with gas but otherwise works well.

Nice lighter, maybe slightly smaller than expected however still like it.

I bought this for my dad's 76th birthday present to replace a similar one which my mum got him for his 21st.He's so happy with itGood quality and good price well worth it GET ONE hopefully it will last aslong as his old one👍👍👍

Mechero de muy buena calidad, imitando al legendario Ronson Varaflame, al que no tiene nada que envidiar. Perfecto y suave accionamiento del encendido. Exteriormente se presenta en un cromado mate con el anagrama de la marca, que dan una presencia elegante. El envío fue muy rápido y bien embalado en un estuche negro con el anagrama de la marca y el interior aconchado, con su manual de uso y tres piedras de repuesto. Gracias al vendedor y a Amazon.

Ich habe es schon 2 Wochen auswendig auf "Herz und Nieren" getestet. Das Feuerzeug ist sehr gut verarbeitet (gut verchromt und poliert), hat keine scharfen Kanten, und ist sehr wohl als Pfeifenfeuerzeug zu gebrauchen, kann also eine wertvolle Pfeife beim Zünden nicht bekratzen. Letzte Woche ist mir ein Sarome Feuerzeg aus der Hand ausgerutscht und auf den Boden gefallen, und das Einfüllventil war voll Dreck - das kann hier z. B. nicht passieren, da es mit einem Schraubdeckel geschützt ist. Das Gas reicht für etwa 180 Zündungen, und unten ist eine "Füllstandskontrollampe" - wenn sie dunkel rot ist, dann ist dr Gastank voll, und wenn sie ganz hell ist mit weißen Bläschen, dann ist das Gas verbraucht (das muss man selbst erleben, kann man so nicht erklären). Die Zündung funktioniert einwandfrei, muss sie auch, denn man hat jedesmal nur eine Viertelumdreheung des Zündrades, und das muss reichen. Am Anfang geht die Zündung ein bisschen schwerer, und wenn der Zündstein schon halb so lang ist, dann geht alles wirklich leicht (man könnte deswegen die Zündsteinfeder entweder kürzen, oder ersetzen). Nur ein Feuerzeg (ebenfalls von Germanus) hier bei Amazon, kann mit ihm technisch konkurrieren.29,- Euro hat es hier 2 Jahre lang gekostet, und jetzt (10/21) leider plötzlich 49,90.

Briquet vintage et élégant facile d'utilisation

Sono rimasto entusiato dell'accendino purtroppo dopo circa un mese si è già rotto. Essendo in garanzia ho contattato la Germanus la quale mi ha mi ha invitato a spedire l'articolo in Germania per ripararlo o sostituirlo. Il problema è che la spedizione mi costa 18€ ed è a mio carico, preciso che l'accendino mi è costato 29€. Ho fatto presente della spesa alla GERMANUS, ma fino ad ora nessuna risposta, quindi deduco che non ne vuol sapere di accollarsi la spesa di spedizione. Conclusione mi terrò l'accendino rotto perché in quanto l'assistenza cliente della GERMANUS è pessima. Mi dispiace perché l'articolo è bello, ma per la mia esperienza, poco affidabile.
