I bought this for my girlfriend because she was trying to be more consistent with sunscreen, but most of the ones she tried before felt heavy or caused breakouts. This one ended up being completely different for her. She started using it almost every day, which honestly surprised me. The texture is really light and doesn’t leave that greasy feeling a lot of sunscreens have. It also doesn’t clog pores, which is a big reason she stuck with it — it’s specifically made to be oil-free and non-comedogenic for acne-prone skin. What I noticed is that it blends in pretty easily and doesn’t feel like she has something heavy on her face. She even uses it under makeup without issues, which wasn’t the case with other sunscreens she tried before. If I had to mention something, it’s that if you apply too much at once, you might notice a slight white cast, but it goes away if you spread it well. Overall, this turned out to be one of those products that actually gets used every day instead of sitting on the shelf. Final rating: 5/5 — simple, lightweight, and actually practical for daily use.

This sunscreen is the best. I have rosacea (which flares up with prolonged sun exposure) and my skin is very sensitive. I also burn pretty easily. So all that combined means face sunscreen when I'm outdoors is a must! The Neutrogena Clear Face is amazing. It doesn't feel like it clogs my pores or is heavy on my skin like other sunscreens. It goes a great job in protecting my face, neck and ears. My 2 teens use it as well and I like that it's more friendly to their young, breakout-prone skin too.

I've been using Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock on my face for a few years; it is really good. But when I saw this "Clear Face" version, I decided to try it. I actually prefer this Clear Face because it is so sheer feeling & oil-free. They are NOT the same product and feel different when applied. I like it because it disappears in to my skin, leaving it matte, not shiny at all. The Ultra Sheer is a bit more like a lotion. It's not greasy but does leave a feeling of lotion on my face. This Clear Face is so light, I hardly know I'm wearing it. Even my husband likes it & that is saying something because he is not a lotion-on-the-face kind of guy. And there is virtually no scent which is great since it's on your face where you really notice scent. When you first put this on, it's quite white/watery & you may think it's a disaster but... just lightly smooth it in & it disappears quickly. And it does block the sun. I have no burning when I wear this sunscreen. If you have sensitive skin, this may not be the product for you. I felt a slight "burning" sensation when I applied it. It went away quickly but I could see that being a problem for some people. I also got a little on my lips & they still felt slightly irritated the next day. The ingredient list is interesting & includes "cinnamomum zeylanicum bark extract" which is from the cinnamon tree and "cedrus atlantica bark extract" which is from a cedar tree. Both have antiseptic properties which is probably why they are in this "clear face" lotion. But they can also cause irritation so if you have very sensitive skin, beware. The Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock does not contain either of those ingredients and may be a better choice for you. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer SPF 45 Twin Pack 3.0 Ounce

This has been my favorite face sunscreen for years, and I don’t see myself switching anytime soon. I have acne-prone skin, and this is the one sunscreen I’ve found that consistently protects my skin without causing breakouts. It has a light, pleasant scent, applies smoothly, and blends in completely without leaving a white cast. It also wears beautifully under makeup without pilling or looking blotchy, which is a huge plus. If you have sensitive or acne-prone skin and are looking for a clear, lightweight sunscreen that layers well with your skincare and makeup, I highly recommend giving this one a try.

I'm medium brown and this is awesome!! it rubs in fine and leaves no white cast. Also not oily. Must buy!

The Neutrogena Clear Face Sunscreen SPF 30 is a decent option if you have acne-prone or sensitive skin and want something that won’t clog pores. It’s lightweight, absorbs fairly quickly, and doesn’t feel overly greasy, which is a plus. However, it can be hard to blend in to my skin, leave a slightly shiny finish, and it stings a bit if my skin is irritated or if it gets near my eyes. It also has that classic sunscreen scent, which frankly I’m over. These companies can do better. Overall, it’s a solid, basic sunscreen for everyday use, but there are other options out there that feel more comfortable or have a more skin-friendly finish and ingredients. I ended up finishing the tube on my arms and legs. I have also purchased this in SPF 55 and my feelings are the same, but since it was SPF 55 I did wear it outside for long periods. With replication I avoided getting burned, so that's good.

It isn't available from the UK only USA. I purchased this product and the delivery timescale was only 2 weeks, although it advertises it could be longer. There were no customs charges either (for receipt of international goods). Its a white fluid but blends in clear and smooth with no caking. Brillant sunscreen and I would definitely buy this again. I have acne prone skin so I use it on my face, neck and chest. I do prefer aromatherapy or organic products but the facial sunscreens for acne prone skin are fairly relatively expensive (£40+) for 50ml. Previously I used La Roche Posay Anthelio AC anti-shine matte fluild 50ml facial sunscreen (£16) but I found it very time consuming applying it. You had to be careful how much you apply. I found it made my face whiter once applied and it caked around drier or hairier areas on my face, such as upper lip, eye brows and hairline. So I wouldn't recommend this product and I wouldn't use it again myself.
