Absolutely phenomenal product!!!
This item is extremely easy to install, however if you have never replaced your OEM then prepare for a battle, have a pickle fork ready, or be prepared to take the clutch fan off shroud, to get to the top bolt. I used a impact extension as well as a metal pipe as a sleeve then a 4lbs mini sledge to "tap" it out after 2 hours of struggling with the OEM the new stabilizer went in beautifully!!!! Add anti seize for future removal if you plan to keep the vehicle awhile. Noticeable difference in steering wheel vibration and smoothness. I added this in combination with the rancho 9000xl front and rear shocks and couldn't be more happy!!!! I have a 2003 2500hd 200,000 miles feels like a brand new truck and rides like a dream now! Going to do msd coils and dual exhaust next to really open up the 6.0! God bless!

Replaced my Bilstein!
2005 2500HD 2WD fits as it should. Doesn’t cause the wheels to pull right as my previous bilstein stabilizer did. Yes there was paint on the bushings, yes the tapered end is a bit long so it doesn’t bottom out. Non of those things affect the functionality and it works! Driving has become enjoyable again! Mine was missing the boot. Being that it sits behind the guard and mostly use my truck for highway travel, I installed it anyways.

Awaiting real world test
Stamped made in USA. Hopefully this is a quality product and not the over seas made steering stabilizer sold under 50 different brands by slapping a sticker on it. Paint is horrid... Not full coverage, Orange peel textures and they painted right over the bushing,. No pride in the product. No quality control. Waiting for the mounting kit to arrive as apparently it fits best if not mounted using the oem hardware. For 09 2500hd Duramax

I have never had an issue with these on all my other trucks. That's why I gave it a good rating. The particular unit that was referenced to fit my 2011 Denali 2500 does not fit. Its too short by about 2". The mounting studs bent and the bushings failed after a week of driving. Before you install one. Crank the steering and compare the mounting holes to the stabilizer extended and compressed, to make sure it fits. I am now the proud owner of a worthless stabilizer. May work as a target, that's about it.

Nice and easy to install
Very easy to install. On my Avalanche I dropped the skid plate, then just bolted on to existing mounts. I did need to provide mounting hardware. I found some reviews online that mentioned that, so I already had the bolts.

Should have bought this one from the start
06 silverado 2500 duramax , pro comp control arm drop lift. I originally modified the bilstein strering stabilizer to work with my lift, it's a well built unit. However I experienced a heavy right pull since it came with a positive charge. I decided to give the rancho unit a try due to the reviews that it's not a charged unit. After install and test drive my truck now has no right pull and positive, controlled steering once again. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to replace a old worn out steering stabilizer

Rancho is superior to Bilstein
First I bought Bilsteins with the recommendation from Bilstein. It turns out the Bilsteins are made with a positive charge, he did not tell me this, nor do they advertise this. With GM NOT having a dual steering damper available even aftermarket using a single positive steering damper my truck pulled right and I had to fight it just to stay on the road.Bilstein tech support said this is normal for maybe up to 600 miles until some of the pressure seeps out the seal. That ain't going to happen, wait until the shock leaks before it will drive normal.Thank god for Rancho they have a real good heavy duty normal steering damper, my truck now drives normal.

Does not come with a required bolt
Quality seems good for the price.I have seen a few complaints about the paint finish on these Rancho units, but it is underneath your truck so the point seems moot. As long as it has paint on it to prevent corrosion, the appearance of the paint need not be a concern. The most important thing to consider is that this unit does not come with the needed 1/2" x 2 1/2" bolt, nut and washers. If your truck was not originally equipped, you will need to buy this bolt. Just a heads-up.
