It worked really well for the convenience and the price! It was a hit! It froze a little unevenly, but we just tried to melt it down with a wet paper towel. it lasted about 1.5 hours at full functionality. Getting it out of the tray was very easy. I was able to fit it in the freezer of my little apartment fridge/freezer, but we did have to throw out some old food - guess it was a good excuse to clean out the freezer!When it starts to melt towards the end of its usage, holes will go from the top of the luge through the bottom so the alcohol won't make it all the way down the path. This is when we tossed it into the bushes and continued our night!

I had never heard of an ice luge until recently. I purchased this after looking at many reviews. I knew I wanted a small one that would fit into my tiny freezer. Most would not but this fit perfectly. The package arrived quickly and in good condition. The luge feels fairly sturdy for just being thin plastic. I anticipate it will last for a while. It also come with legs which I didn't end up using. I will next time. This time I just propped on end up with some books, and played the front end over some dish towels at the end of my outdoor picnic table. Overall this was a great purchase and definitely got the party going. I'm excited to use it again!

Product was a big hit at party, but had to be very careful not to break ice. Legs didn’t fit when ice was out of mold. We used a towel to prop up. Everyone had fun trying it and took plenty of pics for social media. All in all, worth the price, but don’t expect the world of it.It does take about 24 hours to freeze

The reviews made it sound like this was not a good buy...we bought it...and the single one. first, get the double, for two reasons. 1) it is thicker then the single...so more ice and lasts longer...and is more sturdy, if you will. 2) two people can do shots simultaneously and it seems like people like to do shots with folks. It was such a huge hit, people asked about using it after the party...or getting their own! I would recommend taking some time prior to take it out of the mold when frozen...you want to wait till last minute but it is a bit of a process. the single one popped and the ice cracked as we took it out...but the double made it...Others said the plastic was cheap, but we did not find that, it seems acually very sturdy...I was expecting some sort of total cheap flimsy thing, but it was not at all, it was thick...I cannot imagine the plastic breaking...Just beware of the ice cracking as you warm it to get it out of the mold. Also, getting it frozen...be sure to find a level spot in your freezer and do not move it during freezing. i moved it and the ice froze in like two layers..

I put the mold in the freezer, and after a day placed it in the bathtub before my party to defrost a little. I took it out and put it in my backyard to stay cold for a couple of hours before my guests showed up. The bottom part didn't come out as smooth as I thought, but I just placed a hand towel underneath it, then placed it on the stand to it would be stable.We had people drinking from it all night, and it really changed the vibe of the party- people were lining up to do it! Definitely recommend!

Using this was so painful! To use, you fill up the tub with water, freeze it, then flip over the tub to get the ice block out and display it.The most difficult part was setting the ice block up for display!!! If the water froze uneven (because thats how science works), then it was next to impossible to set it on the display and have it stay there. We ended up shaving down parts and running it under hot water to give it an even surface to sit within the framing. On top of that, getting the ice out of the tub was next to impossible even tho we followed the directions! Such a disappointment.Bringing it out at a party was a huge success, people loved the idea! But when we all tried to use it, it was a party pooper.

I read the other reviews and was a little nervous. I purchased the item for my outdoor BBQ and I couldnt be more satisfied with it. It fit in my standard freezer. I filled it with water about 24 hours before the party, and when i was ready to use it i took it out, let it sit in the sink for a couple minutes then ran room temp water on the back to loosen the ice from the mold- it came right out! this was the end of july, so it was a warm evening when we used it and it still lasted for about 2 hours. daytime it probably would have melted quicker. You cant beat the price and all my guests loved it!!

Bought this for my boyfriends going away deployment party. Best $20 I have ever spent.. I make the luge for many occasions probably once a month now! Friends and family love it! One thing I do is fill it with super hot water and then freeze it.. For some reason it turns out a little better. A little hard to get out but you must have patience. One is in the freezer now and I put some food coloring in it. Probably a bad idea but we'll see. Thinking next time putting some XMas lights in it to make it look cool! Love the luge though! It's better than spending $75 on a big one which can never be used again!
