Alpine Swr-t12 12-Inch 1800 Watt 4 Ohm Shallow Mount Subwoofer

Unbelievable sub. I have had crazy systems in the past. This sub paired with the alpine 6x8 two ways in four doors and alpine tweeters in the front. All run off the alpine 5 channel v9. I had a custom down firing box built for it that fits UNDER half of my back seat. Wasn't really expecting a lot. Very pleasantly surprised. Super clean and very loud. Most people cant believe there is only 1 sub. Let alone a shallow. Then again it's all alpine. And you do get what you pay for. As far as price. I looked for over 3months and did a lot of research before buying anything. This sub from this vendor was 125.00 cheaper than anyone in town. The same goes for the amp and speakers. Get the right box and you won't be disappointed .

I wouldn’t say it s value for money as they are expensive but excellent sound and quality and can for in 150mm of space. Very good bass.

I would not even compare this to a standard type r. I bought this for truck. It lasted maybe two months. After it blew on the song Late Night Tip, the speaker was dented. Looked like someone had punched it in. For what this cost on amazon at the discounted price, I should have bought two Sundown Audio SD subwoofers. Probably would even have $ left over. I guess if you listen to soft music this sub is good. But terrible for hip hop rap dance and so on. I now have the standard type r in truck on top of seat. And sounds 10x better.

Very versatile sub. Fits in a box underneath the back seat in my truck. It really sounds amazing I paired it with the Alpine mrx-m110 mono amp.

I have a 2012 Chevy Malibu and had an Alpine SWR-12D4 in a full size sealed box that took up half my trunk space. We've had a new addition to our family and soon realized the box and the baby stuff was not all going to fit. I needed something smaller but still wanted some thump. After reading alot of posts/reviews about shallow mount subs, most spoke negatively and said that they didnt pack the same punch as a full size sub. I was apprehensive, but the reviews about the SWR-T12 were very positive and since they came from the same line as the 12D4 I took a chance. And i'm EXTREMLY glad I did. I had a custom built ported box with 1.5cu ft of space and tuned at 35hz. The box is only 6 inches deepand this thing has plenty of thump. The sub sounds AMAZING, and more importantly it freed more alot of room in the trunk. This sub in the right box will not let you down.

For a thin single 12 inch sub I'm extremely happy with the performance. I installed it behind the seat of a crew cab F350 in a custom made box. I matched it with an Alpine PDX-5 amp on the sub channel, it has plenty of power!

I couldn't be happier. I was very skeptical at first but I'd make this buy all over again if I had the space in my truck

I bought 2 of these and built a sub box as per the manufacturers recommendations, and broke them in at a moderate volume level, driven by an Alpine PDX-M12. One sub began to pop and distort after 2 weeks. I returned the sub and not even a week later, the 2nd one started to do the same thing. I sent the second one back too and got an Orion HCCA 15" sub instead and it's a LOT better than the two Alpines. The seller was great for returns. I would NOT recommend these Alpines to anyone!
