Excellent camera
I received the camera with 60 ft cable and adapter to composite video all as described, in the time promised, and in good shape. I had taken a chance that it would work with a Pegasus 9" portable TV. After installation it would not work, even after turning it off and on a couple of times. So I left it off over night, the next day tried it again - it worked! I have no idea what the difference was, but I have since used it several times successfully. The color is pretty poor in the bright daylight - I have not tried to adjust it on the TV. I can see pretty good detail in the daylight and the dark, so I think it will do the job as an RV backup camera. I intend to leave it running all of the time.I installed it as a replacement for a Panasonic CRT backup camera system. I built a box to mount in the Panasonic mounts and mounted the Pegasus to the front surface of the box. Works well and is removable to use as a TV although I don't plan on using it that way.Update 11/14/2017 After 5 years, the camera quit. I wanted to check the camera's function by directly connecting to the monitor, but you guessed it, the connectors are both male, so I need some kind of adapter. Sad. I'll try some additional testing, but looks like another line replacement is in order.BTW if the camera is bad, it looks like mud-daubers got to the camera by piling up wet mud around the entire end. I guess moisture got inside the camera.

Quality construction, adequate image quality, could be a wider view
Most impressive is the very professional build quality of the camera case, bracket, cables and connectors. It really gives the impression it will stay waterproof and last awhile. The picture quality is adequate for this use; the resolution is not high definition by any standard, and the tonal quality with my monitor is poor. But it's good enough to see what you need to in both bright, dim and near total darkness. Most disappointing to me is the limited field of view. Based on the specifications, I expected a 90 degree viewing angle in the vertical direction. (The viewing angle advertised must be on the diagonal; not very useful.) That 90 degrees would have allowed me to see my bumper and the horizon from 11 feet high up on my motorhome. It just isn't quite wide enough. Adjusted to just catch the bumper on the lower edge of the screen, you can only see about 15 feet back. That's just adequate.

Check you have current camera before install.
You need to be careful what you are supplied with. My first purchase had bad camera. I did not realise that until after running the cable through RV. I had checked there was an image during day before install but the night time image was bad. My only option, buy a second and see if camera was different and if so return first camera. Camera was different. New one had two wires that I understand you can cut to rotate image. Second camera had guidelines in image. Second camera was made in 05/15 verses 03/15 for first. If you get one of these check camera. If no green and blue wire, return it. Second camera saved the star rating, as did 'supplied by amazon' allowing me easy return on faulty product. images attached

Almost a year, so far, so good...
I've had this camera for almost a year now and it's pretty good. I use it on a Ford Transit Connect cargo van. Terrible vehicle, but that's another story. The night vision image is a bit grainy (hence the 4 stars), but it does the job. Daytime image is great. I use a Kenwood double-din in-dash monitor/DVD/CD player for the video display. I use the camera as more of a rear view mirror than a backup camera because of the way it's positioned, it doesn't see all the way to the ground like it should. But that's just how I have it. The camera housing is very sturdy. Kinda heavy. It's not cheaply made. Insanely long power and video cable. I have most of it coiled up above the head liner in the back.

good cam
Very easy installation, wired into my Kenwood stereo, was able to tap into the radio ground and blue amp wire right at the stereo, it came with plenty of wire for my full size crew cab truck, the connectors made wiring a snap , the hardest part of the job was running the wires up the frame and into the cab.It doesn't come with directions, but if you have a basic understanding of wiring it's not a problem. The picture is good and it is clear 50 plus feet backSo far very happy with it . After some use and time in the weather we will see how it holds up .O did silicone the connections and the point the wire enters the cam , this should help

No instructions, but seems very well made
Unit works well but comes with no instructions of any type. Camera seems well made and very sturdy. Comes out of the box set to provide a mirror image. If you want to reverse it you just ground pin 3 on the camera connector. Don't ask how I know this! There is no wire broken out to do that, you'll need to rig it some how. (Ground is the metal shell of the connector.). Mounted on my RV and don't know how I lived without it in the past.

Camera is ok, cable design is flawed.
Camera works ok. Needed to tweak my new 14 inch monitor to make the camera picture bright and clear. Night vision works ok and headlights directly behind the camera do not wash the picture out.Disappointed in the connecting cable design. It has been deliberately designed to make you purchase extra cable for hook up. They should have made the camera able to plug directly into the power cable if you wanted, instead of making it the same type of plug, thus requiring you to buy another small piece of cable for $20.00 just so the camera will plug into the power cable. Should have been made with a male and female plug.

Decent Cam for the price
Works as advertised. Upgraded from a B&W Voyager system. Plenty of length (20 m) of connector cable for my 38' moho. Easy to install. Those complaining about quality obviously expect UHD quality (not happening). Night vision decent. Have it hooked up to my Kenwood sound system screen so didn't need the monitor. Works "always on" or comes on when in "backup" mode.
