I love love love this product and highly recommend for ages 4 and 5 years. It helps establish a great foundation for reading and comprehension. I owned a set like 25 years ago for my son. I loaned it out and it was never returned. I now have a 5 year granddaughter. I like this box set. It is helpful in teaching sightwords to students with autism. The books are simple and can be memorized quickly; allowing for faster acquisition of sightowrds. It is a great addition to our sightword center; can be done one on one or in groups up to five. There are fifty words covered with this set. Some of my students struggled with learning their sightwords, but these books have helped tremendously.

I love these books for my private pre-kindergarten classroom. They highlight and teach all of the sight words (we call them Star Words) in a fun way. The only con is that they come in an odd number of sets - 5 of each. That is the only downfall - however - I just bought the box set of the same books that has just one of each and it solved the problem! :)

If you are looking to start a young child on sounding out words, like at a pre-reading level, try Bob Books Set 1 and Set 2.Finish the Bob Books and then try these Sight Readers. Most kids want to try to sound things out and it's frustrating if the words aren't phonetically decodable.We are starting this set now with our 6 year old Kindergartener. We had tried this set earlier with him but the books don't follow a decoding pattern and someof the words are 2-3 syllables. These are a great, colorful set of books. They can be used repeatedly to build confidence and vocabulary. Kids can learn to take clues from the pictures and themewhen they try to recognize/memorize the sight words.Good luck!

Love these books for beginner readers! Simple, repetitive books which allows the reader to experience success with reading which is an important key to instil literacy in kids

A retired teacher friend recommended this for my grandson who is doing virtual learning in grade one. The little booklets are terrific but there are at least 6 sets in this. I gave sets away to my friends who also have grandchildren they want to help with the memory words. I didn't know it was a set until it arrived.
