Best quality. Pet safe. No odor.
Best brand of pet safe sisal rope I have found to make/re-string cat posts. Zero chemical odor and remains tightly wound/twisted when working with it without unraveling. Easy to install for projects. Lasts a long time, reducing the need to replace as often. Finished project looks great. I use several different thickness options depending on the post/ project….all options have worked excellently. I have ordered this brand many many times and the consistency/ quality is reliable every single time. (We have indoor 11 cats, so the cat posts get high traffic)!

Really nice sisal
I really, really love this sisal. I needed to redo our cat tree because the "kids" destroyed it. I took a LOT of time researching and reading reviews, because my biggest issue with buying in-store, was the smell of it. I can't stand that oily, chemically smell, and my cats don't like it either. This stuff literally had no scent at all. It's great. It's a bit rough, which is fine for the cats, not so fine on my delicate little hands when I was restringing the cat tree, but I prevailed. All and all, I'm thrilled with how my project turned out. It's a great value, even though I did have to buy a second roll of it, because I ran out half way through. The only frustrating part was it does start to unravel (see pic 4) and then you end up with a massive tangle that you have to work your way through. I ended up using a TP roll and just wound it up that way...it wasn't the prettiest, but it worked. A couple of staples here and there and the cat tree looked good as new. So far it seems to be holding up well. The cats are happy, I'm happy, and in a couple of years I'll probably repurchase and do this all again.

Nice quality rope for a cat tree
Love this stuff. My cat tore her up her cat tree and those things are expensive. I found this on Amazon and it was perfect for redoing the scratching posts on the cat tree. I put it on there exactly the way the old one came off my cat has been scratching at it for a few months now it hasn’t fallen apart. It’s actually better quality than the one that was on the cat tree when purchased when this is used up from her scratching I will definitely buy this again to redo the rope on the cat tree what an economical way to get more life out of your cat tree.

Actually safe for birds
No smell, and sturdy enough for my budgie to perch on as it is a little stiff. Works great and it is truly bird safe. It is a little on the scratchy side of rope lol.

Perfect to repair cat trees
So my cats loved to rip up all the twine on all the cat trees in the house so I usually buy two different sizes of twine or jute and re-wrap take them off and fix them all up and that works perfectly

Good product.
Well made, tightly woven. Excellent choice for repairing your cat's scratching post. I used staples to hold it in place to start, and hot glue along the way to secure it. Remember to remove the staples afterwards.

Perfect for re-roping cat furniture
This worked perfectly to redo the sisal rope on my cats’ scratching hammock/scratching post which they had absolutely shredded. It was the exact right amount of rope, so if you have bigger items you’ll need more. There was zero smell, and it looks great!

Great for cats
Used strong double stick tape on my basement I beams and wrapped in this rope for my cats. They love it. Although I got a little dizzy doing it, lol. Still holding up well after 5 years.

Exceptional Cordage Strength – Tight Twisted Structural Integrity and Perfect Scratching Texture
Finding high-quality, unrefined natural fiber cordage that offers the structural resilience needed to endure relentless pet scratching without fraying apart instantly can be surprisingly difficult. Many retail ropes contain hidden synthetic oil treatments or chemical additives that give off strong chemical odors, making them completely unsafe for household animals. This 100-foot spool of 1/4-inch twisted sisal rope from T.W. Evans Cordage Co. sets an absolute benchmark for premium pet hardware, proving to be an invaluable maintenance asset. I've been using this to repair our cat tree destroyed by our energetic Calico, Callie. Premium Pure Sisal Weave & Texturing: The standout manufacturing achievement of this rope is the purity and high-tension tightness of the twist. The natural plant fibers deliver an incredibly rugged, coarse texture that safely satisfies a cat's instinctual urge to claw and stretch without splitting under heavy friction. Wrapping this tightly around worn-out support pillars with a bit of heavy-duty hot glue completely restores the tree to factory condition, offering a surface that easily handles the daily chaotic energy of a young Calico. Massive 100-Foot Volume Economy: T.W. Evans Cordage Co. offers exceptional material value with this substantial 100-foot layout. The 1/4-inch diameter profile is perfectly calibrated for tight stacking, providing excellent surface coverage per linear foot wrapped. It is entirely free from chemical softeners or oils, ensuring a perfectly safe, odorless environment that pets are immediately drawn to for scratching and play. Pros: 100% natural, chemical-free sisal fibers are completely safe for indoor pets. High-tensile twisted structure stands up beautifully to relentless clawing and tearing. Perfect 1/4-inch diameter allows for clean, dense wrapping during furniture restoration. Generous 100-foot spool yields spectacular economic value for large cat tree repairs. Cons: Because this is an authentic, unrefined natural fiber rope, it sheds a tiny bit of fine plant dust while you are actively winding it under tension—so you'll want to run a quick vacuum over the floor once your wrapping project is complete! Verdict: A flawless, high-utility maintenance asset that easily saves you from spending hundreds of dollars on a brand-new scratching post. If you want a durable, chemical-free, and highly resilient natural fiber cordage to repair pet furniture targeted by energetic cats, this T.W. Evans sisal rope is a mandatory purchase.
