I've purchased seaweed: Porphyra Yezoensis (specific type of seaweed usually cultivated for Nori) for a couple of years and usually try to find the lowest costing item for my fine finned friends. There is a vast variety of all types of seaweed/algae used for nori/gim, etc. and also for feeding to fish. One this occasion, I decided to try the "garlic extract added" type with disappointing results:This item has garlic extract added and unfortunately my fish refused to eat it. They initially came up to it, but balked after the first bit. I let it sit in the clip overnight to see if they eventually came around to eat it, however, after 24 hours, still no takers. I pulled it out and immediately was hit with a horribly overwhelmingly odiferous and nauseating powerful rotten stinky smell! I had to scrub the hand/fingers that scraped off the remnants of it that adhered to the clip.I've used this same company (and probably all of the other specific fish only seaweed on the market) previously ... but WITHOUT the garlic extract and my fish love it. I've noticed they prefer some over others, but will eat it as long as it is just the regular type without any additives. It was ultimately my fault for trying something new for them. I'm sure some fish will like the flavor, but mine, I guess, are more into the natural flavor of the algae itself.My fish really enjoyed the one produced by LRS, however, you can only buy that if your local LFS orders it from Larry's. My LFS went out of business due to Covid-19's affect on the economy, and therefore, I turned to this site to buy it here. LRS only uses P. Yezoensis in their brand and my fish go wild for it. Lesson learned!

My fish absolutely love this stuff. I have a 300 gallon saltwater tank with 5 angel fish + 6 others and each of them LOVE this. Had problems with some picky eaters and got this stuff and now they literally swim to the top and would eat it right from my fingers. Very much recommend this product and this seller. I ordered one pack and received it not only earlier than expected but also got an extra pack for free.

If you need to ward off vampires this is the stuff to have on hand. Seriously, you can clear a room with this stuff. I keep it bagged and stored in my fish bin in the garage and bring in a week’s worth at a time.My fish annihilate this stuff the minute it hits the clip.

My fish all LOVE this stuff, even my meat eaters will eat this stuff up. My tang & wrasse fight over it & snap it up quickly! I even put some in the hole for my pistol shrimp & it snatches it right up too. The garlic helps the fish stay healthy so I don't mind the smell knowing it's good for my lil fishes! I keep it in a glass jar with a tight lid as my pitbulls will scarf this up too & garlic is NOT good for them so I have to keep it in a container they can not tear open or get into & to keep the garlic smell in!!

I can’t find any quality of seaweed locally. This is high quality, abd a great price
