You may be wiser to bring the shoes to a good, experienced cobbler or shoe repair shop. I bought a pair of Cole Haan Penny Loafers on eBay and they were way too snug over the vamp. (The top) Cobbler had them for one week. That was 2 yrs ago and they've fit perfectly every since. It cost me less than $10.
