Great for anxious pre-teen
I love this series and have bought so many for my 11 year old daughter. Sometimes kids just donโt want to hear it from mom and these books are amazing for when she needs a little different advice. The advice in this book is honest, real but very age appropriate.

Helpful Emotional Check-In Tool for Kids
The Feelings Book Journal has been a really helpful way for kids to start recognizing and expressing their emotions in a simple, structured way. It encourages reflection without being overwhelming, and the prompts are easy enough for younger users to understand and complete on their own or with light guidance. I like that it normalizes talking about feelings and gives a consistent outlet for emotional check-ins, which can be especially useful during busy or changing seasons of life. The format is approachable and doesnโt feel like a โtask,โ which helps with consistency. Overall, itโs a solid, supportive journal that helps build emotional awareness in a gentle, age-appropriate way.

Great book for adolescents
Bought it for my daughter to see if it would help ease some of her worries. Sheโs already read the book multiple times and said itโs helped her cope with getting ready for a new school. Going to buy the other books in the series!

Great book to help daughters as they grow and also help communication with your child
I have a hard time always saying the right things for my daughter as she grows up. All of these books in the series has helped us both so much! We read them together and she goes over it by herself. It has really helped us open up and talk to each other about situation and how to handle them. Our communication skills with each other have gotten better. It has helped her so much learn how to deal with certain decisions. I highly recommend these to every parent that wants an open communication with there daughter but not sure how to go about it!!!

Helping my worrier to understand
These are a good set of books for girls growing up and needing some expert (but not bossy parent) advice. WE have 3 of these now, and whilst my 10YO and 8YO both say they've never read them for fear of admitting a problem, I've found them both secretly absorbed on several occasions. An important parenting thing for me. Sometimes not forcing the issue and providing the assistance is enough. My eldest is a worrier but wold never admit it. Nice to see a book that addresses the causes for this age group, and how to manage or accept things. The content is set out in a plain, well illustrated way that takes you through the problem, why it happens, how to manage it, and ways to cope. Some solid advice provided in a lovely, empathetic way. It wasn't till they arrived and I was perusing that I realised these books were published by American Girl. If you have girls, they are the holy grail of 18 inch dolls. We have the cheaper version in our house BUT importantly that link made sure that my daughters trusted the content that little bit more.
