easy enough to install and exacet part matches
All of the pics are after the replacement of the latch was complete. I had a friend who guided me to remove the 2 bolts with a socket, then he said the little box on top of the latch mechanism was needed , so I had to take that off. It only had 3 connections, on just a "snap" like a plastic point into to hole in the middle of the box. The second point was a metal screw with a plastic "clip". In order to get that off I unscrewed it but the clip prevented it coming off and my friend said use the pliers ans just pull it out of the hole and that worked but I broke the clip. So we put a little screw with a washer and nut and that worked fine. (And look, the srcew and the plastic clip is no different than a screw and a nut, does that exact same thing, the clip holds it in, thats all.) You can see the silver screw and really thats what really hold the little box on the latch. The third and final thing that holds the little box onto the latch is a plactic rivet which I kind of mangled but it still worked. Its equal in placement to the screw and the nut, like on the other side. Its all about holding it onto the latch thats all. As long as this little box is on the latch when you replace it, it will work just fine. The main 2 bolts on the latch was the easiet part/ In a couple of pics I am holding the old part up to show you the new part is exactly the same. Dont let the little 2" x 2: x 1: box scare you. Just take it off and it only fits one way back on it. On that little box, it seems to control the mechanism for the latch so you really do need it. You'll see an orange plastic part and a flap hanging near that, and yiu dont need to doing anything with that. But its all sturdy and when I removed and replaved the little box on the new latch, THEN I screwed the 2 screws in to the car top trunk, and it was that easy. My friend is 70 yo, and has had a stroke previously, so he couldnt do it for me. I'm a 60yo grandma and I did it using a socket slightly smaller than 5/16 or 8mm. We couldnt read the tiny numbers on it. And just a phillips screwdriver for the little plastic-box on top, and a pair of needle nose pliers to pull the clip through the hole of the little screw I mentioned. Once done, it worked like a dream and no adjustments needed. My car is a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire. It was sporty in my 40's, (my mid life crisis car). Now its just a great car that has been a real solid grandma car. This part fit perfectly and was worth the price!

Perfect fit for 1994 buick roadmaster!
Even though it says it does not fit a 1994 buick roadmaster, it is in fact a perfect fit! Not sure why the part finder is wrong!

Poor Quality Product
This item worked fine the first time for about 3 weeks. I hit a bump and the trunk popped open. The latch had broken. Ordered a replacement and it did not line up correctly at all. I am awaiting a refund.
