Kenwood KFC1694PS 6-1/2-Inch 3-Way Car Speakers (Set of 2)

I bought these along with Kenwood Kfc-P709Ps 6.5-Inch Performance Series Component Speaker System to recreate the stock infinity set up in my 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I used Fat Mat to cover a large area around each door speaker. I mounted the tweeters in the dash where the old ones were. With my stereo and amp, I'm probably giving these things around 30-40 watts each, and let me tell you they sound great, and get very loud. I can max the bass on my head unit, and have to turn down the highs to half level or else they will shatter my ears. I was thinking about getting a sub woofer, but not anymore. The combination punch some hard bass and sparkle some great highs. Very impressed for the money. Be sure to hook up the cross overs to the tweeters if using the P709P system.

These speakers replaced 20+ year old KFC P206 "paper" speakers in the door of my 91 Sentra. I'm running these speakers straight to a JVC KD-X50BT head unit, and Kenwood KFC-G6930 6 x 9's in the back and couldn't be happier with the sound of the speakers now. Previously, the 6 x 9's in the rear over powered the older KFC P206's, but now with the KFC 1695PS's install, the sound is equally balanced front and rear.These speakers were very easy to install. Basically unplug the old speaker(s) and attach the new one. Hardest part was getting the darn door panel back on the door! If it wasn't for the door panel issue, I could have done this in about 15 minutes, but it ended up taking about 45 minutes.The sound coming from the 1694's is incredible. Perfect high, mid and low balance from the head unit and no distortion when I turned the volume up to 24 and sounds great at around 12 to 15. I think the head unit goes as high as 30, so 24 was pretty loud. When I recieved these speakers, they were not the ones I had ordered. Instead, the seller had sent me the newer model. The sound quality is amazing in my Silverado, and was well worth it. The price is unbeatable, $78 for four speakers including shipping. I had never installed speakers before, and after refusing to go to Best Buy due to the rude service, I decided to tackle this myself, and saved $150 by doing it myself.I did not have to contact the seller, so I can't really comment tons of customer service, but seeing as I got a newer model for an older model price, this is well worth the five stars.I would definitely recommend these.

I got these as replacements for my blown factory speakers, only had time to put in one so far, but its already 100% better, I have the stock head unit in my chevy silverado 2500hd, I will update when I get the other speakers installed. But for now I am definitely pleased.

Kenwood is solidifying their place in the audio realm. Sounds great in my pickup, not too worried about getting a base at this point, these do just fine for now.

Packed very well no damage and on time. Fit my 2000 Silverado Great, took and 30 minutes to install. 2 Thumbs up Again. DO BUY!!!!!!!

Back when I was obsessed with car stereos I always used Kenwood. I put 6 1/2" KW's in my old truck, replaced them with the same thing when the GA heat finally did them in. after 14 years, I decided to change my Dakotas factory speakers. The Kenwoods sound just as good as the last set I had!
