Better performance than expected!
I just received the TH0006. It did take a while to receive— it was worth it. I have been in the trades since the 90’s and admire a well built tool and this does not disappoint tool truck quality from the knurling & surface finish to the action. Color coded dies (wish the labels were stamped) are easy to swap out. fit and finish is very impressive. But does it work? Yes! I have only done ~12 crimps (I used dielectric grease to make em pretty) all have been even and solid the only thing I would change is the blow molded case makes you store a set in the crimper and that forces you to shuffle dies around to keep organized & I’m worried markings might come off the side of the dies if the are nested against each other in a high vibration environment. Still a 5 star though I don’t get quality like this from Amazon often. I’ll forget to do a 1 year review I don’t see it being an problem it’s a proper tool.

Did a real good job.
Makes excellent crimps. Make first crimp almost all the way, then rotate the dies one flat (60 degrees) and finish the crimp. No extrusions, way better than the big lever type crimpers. Tool is a little heavy but you get used to it. excellent selection of dies and the "plus" sizes make custom crimps or variances in the lugs or barrels no problem. My work is only battery cables for automotive. Tool seems well made, worth the premium over the low end tools.

No Knob label
Was very impressed with the overall quality of this crimper kit. The case actually had metal latches and hinges to shut the plastic case. The crimper was clean and worked as expected. It is of high quality. But a few areas need improvements. The knob that releases the hydraulic pressure is not labeled. There is no included instruction manual (only a card that requires a cellphone to scan the code for product information). A simple label on the dial would show the current position of the pressure release valve knob. Also noticed that one of the dies had a loose pin (the pin is just threaded into the die). It did come with a set of rubber replacement seals for future repair.

Small and compact and powerful
I needed a large battery cable crimper for my off-grid solar business. Because my business is mobile, it needed to be small and have a broad range of capability. I have now used this crimper several times and it works VERY well. The crimps are tight, and it even crimps the wire size on the lug. One thing I like over other crimpers I have used is the hydraulic handle is a short throw, easy to run with one hand. At the same time, the short throw and the inability to quickly adjust to die size makes it slow to use. The slow die size adaption and need to change dies often is a drawback, but I haven't seen another crimper that deals with that. Overall, I have to say this is a great value for the money. I hope it has great reliability.

A quality tool. Great value for the money and it works well.
This tool is neither the cheapest or most expensive of its kind but I find it hits the sweet spot as far as price and performance. My SIL and I have just converted a sprinter van to a motor home and had to do quite a bit of crimping. I have also used it to run heavy wiring on Jeeps. A bench mounted crimper would be easier to use but I find its size works well when we have to use it in a vehicle where the wires are already run or where it would be troublesome to remove them. The dies are clearly marked with the size and I have not had any problems getting a food crimp on the lugs or butt connectors I have used (Seltrim and Temco). The dies are held in place magnetically. As I am not usually in a rush I insert the lug or connector in the tool, squeeze the handles until the lug is held in place, insert the wire and squeeze again until the wire is firmly held in place, release pressure and rotate the lug or connector 90 degrees, squeeze until the dies touch, release pressure and rotate the lug or connector back 90 degrees and crimp again until the dies touch again. Using this method there are no extrusion to the outside and we have not had a failure. I think this is a substantial step up from the 30 to 40 dollar knock offs and recommend it highly.

Honestly was Not Expecting Much
For $85 at the time I purchased this tool I was not expecting much, and I'm a light duty use case anyway. But wow, this crimper is built really well! All of the actions are smooth and solid. The gauge sizing options are great and pretty spot on for accuracy (I think the lugs I bought are oversized). The parts come greasy which seems weird, but it's a preventative measure to keep the tool in good shape and rust free, which shows to me the manufacturer cares about the end user. The rubber on the handles is great quality, and even the case is made well. Usually when purchasing cheap tools you expect a crappy case. This one on the other hand follow suit with the rest of kit in terms of being built to last. Is it for the professional making dozens or hundreds of connections/crimps a day? Eh, maybe not, but those use cases are rare and usually involve an upgrade to power tools. If you are work on high gauge wire occasionally to somewhat frequently this is a confidence worthy purchase.

Compact workhorse
Upgrading my old Millermatic 200 (91 model) from the stock POS taper pins to Tweco mini panel connectors, I'm tired of melting the stock housings and arcing out the pins on the high range side, this time mine partially arced away the lug along with the threads on the pin socket and required the installation of a new HD copper lug. The transformer is HD 1/4" copper bar to the lugs and requires major disassembly to get a standard hammer strike crimper to a usable point and the shielding prevents silver soldering (no room) I bought standard AWG 4 lugs and did a little preforming to get a tight fit, I was able to move things enough to get the Temco unit in and crimp on the new lugs with no hassle. the repair works great and the pins never get screaming hot like they used to, mainly because of the better fit and more surface area on the Tweco connectors and there is zero clearance between the lug and the transformer connection now. Well worth the money, saved me $300 I would have spent having my welder repaired in a shop.

Way better than other crimpers at the same pricepoint
I got this crimper because the one we had from *nationwide discount tool store* did not have all the dies sizes I needed to crimp some smaller lugs onto my wires. The first thing I noticed was that the fit and finish of this tool was far superior to the cheaper one. The dies also seemed better made and fit into the tool more consistently. The first couple crimps I did turned out better than the best ones I could do on the cheap tool. Some features that I did not know about at time of purchase, but really impressed me: The whole numbered dies (12, 10, 8, ...etc) leave an embossed number indicating the size used after the crimp is complete. That will take the guesswork out of what die to use if it ever needs to be recrimped for any reason. They also add a detent which matches the standard lug color code on the whole numbered dies. The replacement o-ring kit is also a big plus in my book. I did have a couple minor issues with the set, which I would take off 1/2 star for if I could. First, I received a mismatched set of 1 AWG dies (one was a 4 AWG that was mislabeled). However, I sent an email to Temco and they agreed to send me a replacement that same day. Good customer service. The only other minor annoyance is that the printing for the die sizes on some of the dies are smudged or double printed; they are not hard to read, but just don't look as high quality as the rest of the set is. Overall, considering the price was only about $15-$20 more than the cheaper sets, you get more dies (including all the in-between sizes), the extra o-ring kit, and just the overall fit and finish, it's a great deal if you are in the market for this kind of tool.

High-quality hydraulic crimper, AWG+ sizes are great
Makes perfect hex lug crimps where wires don't pull out. AWG+ sizes are great to get good crimps into cheap or dodgy wires that don't run true to AWG.

Good set for Off Grid wiring
The TEMCo TH0006 Hydraulic Cable Lug Crimper Kit proved to be an outstanding tool during the build of my Airstream’s off-grid Victron power system. It handled everything from 4 AWG to 4/0 cables with ease, delivering consistent, factory-quality crimps every time. The hydraulic pump operates smoothly and requires very little effort, while the 18 included dies are clearly marked and fit snugly—no guessing or sloppy results. Build quality is excellent; it feels solid and reliable, not like a disposable import tool. I especially appreciated how quickly it let me produce secure, professional-grade terminations across the entire DC system. For anyone assembling battery cables, inverter connections, or busbar links, the TH0006 is a must-have—precise, efficient, and built to last.

TEMCo Cable Lug Crimper
I was a little sceptical regarding this purchase as there were some bad reviews on the tool quality and crimp sizes. I am totally satisfied with this tool and have used it to set over 100 lugs of sizes from 2 AWG through to 10 AWG and I can not fault the quality or the range and accuracy of crimp size dies. This purchase has already paid for itself and was worth every cent.

Thought I bought quality in Temco, but I was wrong
Received. Nicely packaged in blow molded case, with all the cool half size extra dies. The Temco TH0006 worked for a total of 16 crimps. The last one seemed fine, but upon closing the valve to start the next crimp, it failed to initiate the stroke. Tried everything. Contacted Temco, who suggested I use a pair of visegrips to turn the valve another quarter turn past tight, try it, and if that did not work, go one quarter turn more. Still did not work on the first quarter past tight, nor the second quarter. Left with a $500 boat anchor. Funny, that the Chinese one I have back at home in Colorado, that I bought for $65 years ago, and hundreds of crimps ago, still works.

Excellent crimper
So far I've only made one test crimp on 2/0 wire, but it easily made what seems to be a perfectly formed crimp - neat and secure. While this doesn't on the face of it look much different than some of the cheaper tools available, it does seem to to a better job, and I'd say it is probably down to the quality and proper sizing of the dies. For the crimp shown, I chose to hit it twice along the length since I had the space to do so.
