I’ve finally found what I’ve been missing my whole life, and if I keep it, it will kill me.
BB Easton ruined my life with Praying for Rain because now I’m hooked and nothing else even sounds remotely interesting. Rain and Wes are... *sigh*... I mean I knew I would enjoy this book, because BB’s writing is always top notch and I live for (and am terrified by) an apocalypse of any sort, but I didn’t expect to LOVE it quite so much. The mood is dreary, I mean the apocalypse IS looming over the characters heads, but the writing and story still have some quirk and spunk behind them. The romance is reluctant-ish, but somehow inevitable. This story is hot. It’s sad. It’s gore-y. It’s emotional. It’s meaningful. It’s just freaking awesome.

Meh
Maybe I’m just not familiar with the author’s other works and this is how they all are, but after a great start, this got really boring to me. There was no process of falling in love with the person through major events- it was all just physical sexual desire- that seemed to make the other person “different” than anyone else that they instantly gave into after what, one grocery store “incident” and suddenly they couldn’t be apart. I dunno- it wasn’t my cup of tea. Insta love/lust is a snooze fest to me. It had a ton of potential, though.

You NEEEEED this amazing book!!
BB Easton has a way with words. She can weave a story that not only captures your attention, but drags you under the surface until you can’t help but live and breath inside the world. This story was magical. Two broken characters in one extremely broke world. One struggling to survive, the other struggling just to make it until the end.“When you’re three days away from the apocalypse, there’s not much to look forward to.”Wes shows up in Rain’s life at the perfect time, if she were trying to live. He saves her, kidnaps her, uses her as a tool as he is trying to survive. He pushes her away, sure she’ll be the death of him if she stays, only to realize she might just be the one to save him.I absolutely loved Wes and Rain. At the same time, I wanted to beat them both upside the head. Both their stories are devastating, and it broke my heart as each one was slowly revealed. These two are strong through all their weaknesses, and survivors through and through.“What could you possibly prioritize over surviving?” “Living.”The ending left me ready to dive off the cliff with my tattered fingernails and fractured heart in tow. This book was a wild ride, and I’m dying to read more.

I recommend this book AND its playlist
I’m not new to the genre. I enjoy reading apocalyptic romance books and BB Easton is one of my favorite authors, so this could've only ended well for me. If you haven’t read the genre before, prepare yourself for craziness. And if this is your first BB Easton book, just know that–aside from her cool style and natural talent–her background as a psychologist really benefits her writing. In Praying For Rain, she creates a world of violence, intimidation, terror, and hopelessness. The system is a broken mess. People have killed and been killed. Everyone is terrorized by vivid nightmares of the four horsemen of the apocalypse and huge red banners that advertise the date the world ends. Interesting, since red is the color of blood, fire, and war. It’s also the color of excitement, love and passion. That brings me to Wes and Rain, the ones responsible for my 5 stars. I felt their surge and it was intense! Because, why wouldn't it be if you only have three days to live... and your body knows you've connected with someone before your brain does... and you're both direly trying to harbor your own issues... but you can't stay apart because you don't want that visceral high to end? I'll say no more, just that BB obviously knows what I like.I thought it was a perfect start to the series. Every single thing I wanted to happen, did. And the sneak peak at Fighting for Rain was icing. It’s a nice spot to end the book. Given that, I'm feeling good about waiting for the rest and confident it'll live up to my expectations, which are now set to an uber high level that I know this author will meet.

Great Spin on End of the World Romance - can’t wait for more!
I absolutely LOVE apocalyptic romantic suspense and this book had it all - just give me more now! Rain and Wes’s story was a perfect mix of tragedy and heartbreak- yet it was also full of smoking hot scenes that leave you praying someone like Wes is by your side if the apocalypse comes. In the little town of Franklin Spring’s Georgia- Rain is just a girl trying to survive three more days until the apocalypse comes - although she is not sure why she is bothering to try if the world is ending. While the entire world is plagued by daily nightmares of the impending doom - Wes is a man hell bent on surviving by any means necessary even if it means saving Rain and using her as another survival tool. When these two collide they have undeniable chemistry, even with the end of the world looming. For Wes, it is hard to deny when you finally find someone that actually cares about you as more than just a hot body - something he struggles to overcome during the book. Small town girl Rain is definitely impulsive and gets herself in a lot of sticky situations but she just may be what Wes needs to survive. 5 Stars for me! I can’t wait for the continuation of this story.

Fab read
This is a brilliant start to the Praying for Rain Trilogy.Wes and Rain. What a story. Three days until the predicted apocalypse Rain isn’t afraid of dying. Wes on the other hand looks at it differently. This author has a real talented flair for words. Her description in the story is so good it brings the story to life. This is a genre I don’t read. I’m not even sure what I was thinking when I joined this tour. All I can say is this authors name speaks for itself hence I read this story.I’m so looking forward to reading more of this trilogy.

4.5 stars
This is my first book I have read from BB Easton and I was not disappointed, I really enjoyed this book it’s in both POV I liked the whole concept and storyline, I felt it was a unique and different that was entertaining and a easy read. I enjoyed her righting style. The only little nag is that it takes over 3 days so I did feel a little instant love but I still really enjoyed this book. ..The world has become a waste land we’re people believe they are 3 days away from an apocalypse. Rain who is 19 years old has come to terms with her fate until he comes across Wes who is 22 and is gorgeous, scary and exciting. Wes is out to survive and he needs supplies, shelter and things to defend himself with. When he finds Rain he decides to keep her around to be resourceful. ..He wants to live and Rain has given up but become a distraction to each other. ..I’m def going to jump into reading the rest of this trilogy. .

5* Apocalyptic Stars
An excellent dystopian, apocalyptic, New Adult story. This novel is gritty and raw, and set in a world where civilisation and its rules has ceased to function as the world awaits The End.Rain and Wes are our two protagonist's who are desperately trying to outrun their nightmares and survive. These two characters are really well written. They are really likeable, really relatable and two individuals who I absolutely loved. This book flips back and forth between both of their back-stories, the present as the clock is ticking down, and the apocalyptic nightmares that are plaguing everyone's dreams. The story is the first part of a three part story and ended on a cliffhanger. I can't wait to start book two.I highly recommend this book to readers who enjoy off-beat, edgy and a very different take on the romance genre.

Intriguing Build To The Apocalypse
I’d probably give this 4.5 ⭐️ if I could.Wow, I feel like I’ve been hit by hammer. This book is a rollercoaster ride. This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I know I’m going to be reading the next book in the series when it comes out.Rain is a damaged and lonely 19 year old trying to survive in a world gone crazy. April 23rd is coming in 3 days, and that is when the world is going to end. Everyone has been dreaming about The Four Horseman and the date they are going to arrive for the past year. Society has unravelled, with death and violence an every day occurrence. Trying to buy something to eat, Rain is rescued from a mob trying to steal her pain pills by Wes, a gorgeous 22 year old, who is jaded and damaged by life. He sees Rain as a tool, someone to use to survive. This book recounts those three days they spend together trying to find safety, and slowly reveals their personalities and their histories. It’s absolutely gripping because of they way they interact. The time limit of the coming apocalypse puts their relationship in a pressure cooker and speeds everything up for us to watch. It’s a fascinating book, with an intriguing concept and I enjoyed every page.
