JL Audio C2-570x 5x7 2-way Car Audio Speakers (Pair)

1 has blown 9mo in. I triple checked my deck specs and speaker specs when I bought these. The max output on my deck is 50w, spec on these is 60w RMS. Well one has blown and another is dieing.I contacted JL and the response I got was "you turned it up too loud above 75%" well as a full time parent of a small child, let me tell you thats not the case.I have used JL subs for 20years in 5 vehicles but Ill be buying different door speakers now.

I have a 2015 Ford F-350 Platinum Crew Cab 4x4 pickup truck that has the stock Sony system installed. To me, the sound is terrible in this truck. It sounds very muddy, not precise at all. In the EQ settings, I have the bass only midway, then have the treble turned all the way up, and it sounds like a base stereo system that should be in a $15K car, not a $60K top of the line truck from Ford. Nevertheless, I replaced the front door speakers and the rear pillar speakers with these 5x7's from JL Audio. The front doors were a piece of cake and the rears were tight but doable without removing the rear seats. Once installed, the results are way better than the stock Sony speakers. The sound is much more precise, less muddled...just way more accurate, clear and crisp sound now. I'll be replacing the front door and rear door tweeters with their C2-075ct tweeters along with a single 3.5" dash mounted speaker here soon. Then, I'm going to pull the rear seats and see if I can find a 8" shallow mount subwoofer to replace the stock subwoofer. So far, all of this is being run with the stock amp.

I had the Shaker 500 option inside my GT. The Stock speakers were not that bad in my opinion. But they have not aged well and needed to be replaced. These speakers are an improvement. At high volumes you can hear more vocal detail and music is more enjoyable. I have not opted to add an amp to them for cleaner power at this point I am satisfied. The hardest part was balancing the speakers with the Shaker 500 door subs. The install is not bad either for the doors. Do not pay anyone to do it. It takes about 1hour for both sides with simple hand tools. IT takes a couple days for them to break in. At first the sound may not be that big of a jump. But be patient, throw good material at them and they will reward you.

Crystal clear! Highs, mids and bass are spot on with the Alpine amp. These are in my 2014 Mustang Shelby. Could not ask for better sound quality from such small speakers.

Good clear sound. Great highs. Mid level is not awe inspiring in these. I installed these with 2 JL 5x7 in a friends truck amplified with 75 watts x 4. They sound better than my JBL GTO series with same amp but like I said, mid level is not as powerfully reproduced. If you buy nice door speakers learn how to amp them. Great complement to a sub.

Bought these to replace my old Infinity Reference 6812CF to get cleaner and less harsh highs. While the highs are definitely cleaner, I would have to say they are only a little bit less harsh/bright than the Infinity Reference. I'm powering these and an 8" JL audio sub with a JL Audio XD400/4 in a 2005 Ford Ranger Regular Cab. So far I like them a lot and highly recommend them. I'm thinking my problem with harsh highs is most likely due to me playing my music too loud xDUPDATE: After using these for a while longer I must say there is a HUGE difference in audio quality. Much easier to listen to at louder volumes for longer periods of time. Can be heard loud and clear from across the parking lot. I love it! :D

If you install these in a 2009-2014 F150 you will see a great improvement in sound quality and response. In this application beware of issues with water entering factory connectors, I hardwired and soldered the connections to eliminate the issue I was having in my case

I'm disappointed in these. My factory speakers in my 2003 ford e350 van sound better. I installed one and changed the balance between left and right multiple times, the factory speakers had fuller range of sound. I returned them and got the infinity ones 6829cf.I did not return the infinity speakers!
