This fit the criteria that was most important to me-I can write using my pilot v5 rollerball pens and the ink won't bleed to the next page. I can write on the back of each page without worrying that i won't be able to read it because of bleeding or ghosting. Wonderful quality. I love the color of this notebook-Port Red-, and it's the perfect length for me. These have become my go-to notebooks for journaling. The dotted style is lovely and I prefer it over ruled. Overall, I think this was money well spent.

These are my favorite notebooks! After trying different journals, I always find myself gravitating back to this brand. The dotted, numbered pages are perfect for bullet journaling. The markers, index and pocket in the back are also added convenience factors that make this 5 stars in my book. The pages are thin compared to some other art journals, but I've never had any problem with pens bleeding through. Also, the pages lay flat! To anyone in search of a perfect notebook, I would highly recommend this one.

I've been keeping a journal of some type for decades. I've tried every variety and these Leuchturm journals are the best in my opinion. They are sturdy and substantial. They open flat, they have two placeholder ribbons and a pocket in the back that can hold a lot of stickers, receipts, business cards, etc. They come in many colors and they have an index in the front as well as stickers for the spine and front cover if you want to label your books. The pages are thick enough that most inks won't bleed through. I get the dotted grid because I feel it is the most versatile for doing drawn layouts. It also helps keep my writing straight and well spaced. I've used Rhodia, Miquelris and Moleskine in addition to various school type notebooks and hardback notebooks from office supply shops. I really love the Leuchturm because the quality and features are worth the price.

Heads up - if you want a certain page style be sure to check that under the color. I meant to get lined but dotted was checked by default and I wasn't paying attention. That said, it's a happy mistake for me because I'd never used dotted pages before and it turns out they rock. I like being able to use pages horizontally and they make it easier to make even columns. As far as quality this thing actually feels like a solid book which is what I was looking for. I also LOVE the Port Red color (kind of like a purpley red), it looks even better in person. The bookmark ribbons are soft and sturdy too. I checked out a lot of different journals but I think it was worth paying a few dollars more for a Leuchturmm1917.

I do like this brand, but once I switched to the journal they make for the official The Bullet Journal brand, there’s no turning back. The paper on these Leuchtturm journals is thinner, and the cover does not stand up to use the way TBJ ones do.

Edit: bumping this up to 5 stars. I've been using it for a while and my original complaint is minor and doesn't affect how much I enjoy this notebook. I am using this as my bullet journal. A nice notebook, to be sure. However it may not be good for fountain pen users as the ink bleeds through quite a bit. There is also a lot of feathering to the ink on its pages. Would be 5 stars if it were fountain pen compatible.

Me gusta mucho esta libreta o cuaderno, es la segunda vez que compro uno de este tipo y la verdad que estoy muy contenta. Es un poco caro, pero merece la pena porque es de buena calidad. Yo lo uso para hacer journaling, y el último me ha durado 5 meses, porque tiene 250 páginas. Por el precio que cuesta y lo que dura en acabarse, merece la pena, porque se conserva muy bien, y lo uso cada día. Además huele muy bien, y aunque las páginas son un poco finas de gramaje para mi gusto, tiene muchas, y ocupa lo mismo que otro cuaderno con más gramaje y menos páginas. Aun asi la tinta no se transparenta, pesa poco. Es, de este tipo, mi marca de libretas favorita.
