Very easy to use
Got this after putting off getting one for years, was scared to order one online so I was trying to find one in person...which proves to be a lot more difficult than I thought. But this works great, I got it to style some wigs and it's great, even at the lowest setting (I'm scared being a newbie). The design is nice and sleek, feel like it'd be pretty easy to pack up too if needing to travel. Very easy to use, coming from a beginner, and helps give some volume to wigs!!

Great for Cosplay Wigs
I purchased this for crimping my cosplay wigs and it works great! I wish that this brand made a larger crimper with the same teeth size as this one, though. It’s hard to find a wide crimper with at least 8 teeth on it, which is ideal for crimping wigs since it cuts down on time. (This brand does have a 2-inch crimper option available, but the teeth are larger than what I like to use for cosplay wigs.)I use the Medium heat setting for my heat-resistant cosplay wigs, and then I comb the strands out with a thick bristle brush after each pass. I like that this crimper doesn’t overheat where your hand goes, because in the past I’ve gotten crimpers on here that heat up so much that my hand starts to burn just holding it!

Don't blow over $100.00 on another crimper.
I have very thin, fine, straight hair. I started shopping the Valoom rootie, which was getting a lot of great reviews. It sounded good in theory but I figured I'd spend $20.00 to see if the process works for me before committing. It does. It basically keeps your hair from being flat against your head by the end of the day. You have to play with it a bit to get what you want. If you start too close to the root, your hair sticks out like dog ears. If you don't get in far enough under the top layer, the crimps are visible. I use the lowest setting, count 1 Mississippi, and go down 3 sections. That leaves my ends untouched so undamaged from heat. I really can't see the $130.00 iron being any better. It's just a small crimper. Spend another $7.00 at a department store getting a few clamps, then go buy yourself a great pair of shoes.

Loved..at first
I loved at first because it did give my hair volume however even on medium and then low heat, I started to notice hair was falling out. I saw it on the counter and floor but I always lose strands so didn’t think anything of it. Then after a few weeks input my hair up into a messy bun and saw all the breakage (because you only use this crimped under the hair for volume). Oh my goodness exactly where it was crimping was all broken off. So much damage. But it was happening little by little and it’s been cold so I hadn’t worn my hair up in a while. Sad to say, it’s going in the garbage. No hot tool should cause that kind of breakage on low heat on hair that has product on it for protection and though I don’t do hair anymore and am a teacher, I am a licensed hair stylist. I would never use this product on a client or myself or family member because the volume isn’t worth the hair breakage. Shame too since it’s a great idea in theory

Great for volume-less thin hair
I have very thin hair that tends to go flat quickly, even after the best blowouts and professional styling. I decided to give this crimper a try, and I’m happy to say it really delivers on volume! It’s a great choice for adding that much-needed lift to thin hair. That said, I’m not sure what they mean by "extra shine." Since the crimper is best used on the under layers of your hair to keep the crimped texture hidden, the shine isn’t really a noticeable feature. But for what I needed—volume—it works perfectly.Overall, I’m happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone struggling with flat, thin hair. Just keep in mind its best use is for creating volume rather than a polished or shiny finish.
