Exactly what we needed and very sturdy
This is exactly what we were looking for. As we’re transitioning my son’s bed situation we took the front rail off but he was rolling out of bed every night. This is just the right size for his crib so he can get out easily when he needs to but stay secure in bed while asleep. It’s also super sturdy-my kids will jump and hang off of it and it doesn’t budge.

Really should have a boxspring. Too bad.
Requires a box spring or some other edge that is (vertically aligned) flush to the mattress. Otherwise the anchor will tip and release…Also, if you don’t have a box spring or supporting (running vertical) bar underneath (like some of the cribs shown have with the wire grid) the railing will tip inwards.I don’t feel comfortable using it for these two reasons.

DO NOT BUY!! Pieces don’t match instructions
DO NOT BUY!! As you can see in the pictures the item is unusable. It’s supposed to be a click pin as per the instructions, but there’s a screw that is unable to be removed, no pin. DO NOT BUY!!! I wish I could give 0 stars
