Does it help remove intermittent flickering on my bmw f30 reverse camera when the engine is still cold and rattling a bit more than usual?

This is a cover for Rear View Rectifier.

Am I correct? I tap into the reverse wires for input and the video wires for output? I don't cut them just tap into?

The input black wire is connected to a ground (car metal), the red input taps into the reverse light hot wire. The output side is the new power connections to the camera (red = hot +, black = Negative/ground -)
