Amazing how Hard this Single 12 hits!
Finally got this sub installed today with fosgate mono amp(rated 500 but certificate sys its really 660watt rms@1 ohm). I have this running off my new JVC dd head unit. For install my head unit amp gain is on low(to minimize max volume), bass/loudness off, and amp is only set to barely 25% gain. Sub isn't even broken in yet. You should've seen the smile on my face. The installers was asking me where I get my set up from..lol damn, that 1 speaker hits so hard in my magnum. Literally made hairs on my arm stand up. It brought my system to a whole new level. I'm running fosgate power 6x9 in front doors(100w rms) and Kenwood 7 in. 2-way in the rear(80w rms). The door and rear speakers powered by JVC head unit solely. I cut on the high pass filters on those. My system sounds Amazing now. I can hear my highs n midst crisp n clear and the bass hits perfectly. Not muddy sounding and drowning out midst n highs.I could go on and on. In a nutshell, I highly recommend this speaker. The amp I have is fosgate 500bd. For this to be the first day, gain barely 25%, and speaker not even broken in yet, it sounds Sick! Hard to describe but definitely shakes whole car and mirrors. On amazon this speaker is a great deal. March it up with a great amp and u good to go. I can't wait till after I broken it in. Then I can raise the gain and cut JVC head unit gain on high(to allow volume to go to 50 instead of 30 on low).Once again amazing how hard and good this one speaker hits. My coworker has some setup with like 2 10's and 2 12's. Cheaper stuff though. I can tell already, with my setup at not even full potential or broken in, mines hits harder and sounds better. Its great to have big bass, but u got to have ur mids n highs right also.Real talk, buy this setup. This is a real review and not hyped up. Now if something goes wrong down the road, ill definitely update this review.

Little bump in your rump
Every car or truck I've owned (over 22 years) has had a modified sound system. I consider myself fairly knowledgeable when it comes to car audio. I listen to just about all kinds of music and enjoy the extra power and volume.I have a large SUV with the dual Rockford P3 12's in a similar box. It sounds good and has held up to abuse well. When I got a new car my choice of this P3 was easy. I thought I knew what to expect, but the other setup is in a large SUV (Tahoe) and obviously has more volume to fill. I put this in a 2012 Camry Hybrid. The car has the upgraded JBL factory system which has an amplified 10 speaker setup and I wanted a little more boom to go with it - mission accomplished!I've gotten a little older and wasn't looking to blow the doors off anything, but this still has the ability if I get the need. It's matched up with a Rockford T500-1bdCP amp - at 1 ohm it's build sheet says it's putting out 811 watts.Since I added this to a Hybrid, I was concerned about battery drain so I added a cap. My local install shop tried to talk me out of it, but I figured it was cheap insurance.I also added a bass dial or knob to the amp and would strongly recommend that to anyone adding a dedicated sub amp. I keep it at it's lowest setting and only rarely dial it up.All the parts except the wire came from Amazon and I couldn't be happier. It's the best sounding car I've ever had and has the least modifications. You can't hear me from blocks away, but you'll know I'm passing

Better Than 2 P1 10's
I wanted to upgrade from my 2 10 inch p1's to something that could hit harder but still not take up a bunch of space in the trunk. Nothing against the p1's though, they are great subs that would let everybody know you're coming from a block away. I just wanted the low of a 12 inch woofer. At the same time I wanted to have something around the same wattage as the p1's. The p3 wasn't my first choice, I wanted something from JL Audio but eventually I just went with what I knew was good.I wanted to get the best punch series woofer, so I bought the 12 inch P3. Aesthetically speaking it looks really good and I like the grill on the port, some don't though.I have it hooked up to an Audiopipe APSM-1300 @ 1 ohm. It's a "mini" amp that pushes 1000 @ 1 ohm ( probably only 800 true watts) so it's over powering the sub a good amount. I'm making sure to be careful not to blow it.On to the sound. This thing absolutely rocks for one sub. I hooked it up and was like oh okay sounds good. Then I just kept turning up the volume and it sounded better than the P1's. I knew it immediately and cracked a little smile because I knew that I made a good decision.

Big sound
I have the Rockford R2-500X1 pushing this and it sounds really nice. Deep end bass sounds great. The box construction is top quality. It can handle the R2-750 if you want more power.

Great sub for Scat Pack
This sub is perfect š exactly the kind of bass I wanted. This fits pretty well in the back of my 16' Challenger. It is paired with a Rockford Amp as well and really delivers (I can hear it over my engine - 6.4)Just from handling it you can feel that it is built to be sturdy and has some real weight to it.

Clean, loud, everything you want from a sub and more!
Matches of not outpaces my competition 15 from 4 years ago. The internal wiring is even soldered! The only minuscule thing to complain about would be that the glue joints look sloppy when you take the sub out, BUT, my sound quality is mint, the fit and finish is mint, the car is shaking apart. WORTH EVERY PENNY. Super loud on my 4000w amp (obviously the gain is turned down. And I also have it in series with the previous mentioned 15ā for 3 ohms, making peak power somewhere near 1500 watts on paper) Always loved fosgate, but this sub was a leap for me, and Iām so glad I picked it up.
