How much would I need for a 20 gallon tank?

As a rule you use 1 to 1 1/2 time the size of your aquarium, so for a 20 gallon tank you would need 20 to 30 pounds of gravel. This gravel is very pretty, I actually used it in my resin ocean scenes but I also have 2 aquariums so I know about how much is needed.

Is this aquarium safe?

Have it in fish tank for months now and no problems

What kind of crystals are in the blue green and purple mix? Are they fluorite?

I'm not sure, since I haven't bought yet, but wanted to mention that fluorite is a softer gemstone and will break down in water and release minerals that may not be good for an aquarium....
