STRICTLY BEDS&BUNKS Athens Short Pine Bed Frame including Sprung Mattress (15 cm), 2ft 6 x 5ft 9 Sing

We bought this bed for my toddler who was being evicted from his cotbed in preparation for his sister’s arrival. He sleeps in the smallest bedroom and I wanted a bed to fit along the shortest wall to maximise floor space (for train tracks and things!). Originally we talked about building a bed ourselves but at 7months pregnant this was no longer practical so we turned to Strictly Beds and Bunks Ltd and I’m SO glad we did!The bed arrived quickly, much quicker than I anticipated. There was an issue with delivery of the bed frame which was however no fault of the company who very swiftly rectified the issue. The bed frame itself is solid, with lovely rounded edges on the corners- perfect for limiting the damage from those toddler tantrums! It was simple enough to put together. The only issues we had were that the instructions were so clear with helpful details and tips that as long-suffering self-assembly semi-professionals, we ended up confusing ourselves!! The mattress supplied with it is more than adequate enough for a child, perhaps a little spring-lumpy for a larger adult but my pregnant-self had no issues when I curled up in it with him to read our bedtime story! The only thing of note is that the mattress smelled a little like a hamster cage upon opening but an afternoon of airing out in the garden soon got rid of that, just be aware!Our plan all along was to paint the bed white to match his decor and it looks stunning! My little man jumped straight into it, absolutely delighted with his proper big boy bed! Thank you Strictly Beds and Bunks!

The bed frame itself is ok and looks nice. Unfortunately the holes for bolts and so on haven't been very carefully measured, meaning I had to drill a couple of extra myself when the existing ones didn't line up, which added a lot of time and effort to the assembly process. In addition the mattress supplied is of very poor quality, so overall I don't feel like I got very good value for money. You'd be better off buying the frame and then getting a decent mattress separately.

A good solid bed but I had to pay to have it assembled. I also now need to pay to have it varnished as it is as it said natural wood. Would have preferred a varnish to have been applied before delivery. Prompt service when I checked on thickness of mattress.

This SHORT bed was a very good buy. It was well packed with an excellent delivery service which kept us well informed at every stage.We needed a small bed for a small room and this was exactly what we wanted. It is very well made, easy to assemble and more superior than most 'flat pack' products. The mattress is a good thickness and good quality.Although this was bought with a grandchild in mind, we intend using it on odd occasions and it appears to fit the bill.The bed was very well labelled as a SHORT bed and it is that. Which is why we bought it.

i am delighted with this small bed!the driver was very plesent and helpful.we only have a very small spare room so the size of bed is ideal!the misses can't stand my snoring when i'v had a skinful,so although i'malmost six foot tall and weigh around fifteen and a half stone i can fit intothe we bed no problem'which kepps the misses happy! cheers!

i was informed near the time about arrival by a phone call the.night before and an hour before the bed arrived.The bed was as described and we are very happy with it.I have given it five stars as there was nothing I could find fault with, which was brilliant.

Good quality product at a good price. Quick efficient delivery. Very pleased with it. Recommended.
