Great for a First Step into the World of Vinyl
I don't know a huge amount about vinyl; this is my first turntable, but since I bought this I've accumulated a collection of about 50-60 records, probably. I mostly just buy cheap $1 stuff at a local record store. I don't care a huge amount about the debate over whether music sounds *better* on vinyl, because if I want top audio quality, I'll get digital versions and listen on my laptop with headphones. But this turntable has been a pretty awesome entry point for me into the world of vinyl, without breaking the bank. I'll break up this review into three parts. LOOK: I generally like the look of the turntable. The front knobs look fine with the radio tuner, and the cover that can be flipped up is really cool. However, the wood color is really fake looking. It's a brighter red-ish brown than pictured and it definitely doesn't look natural. Personally, I don't mind, but I'm also a college student who can just be a hipster about it and dismiss it as ironically *vintage*. Basically, it looks new, not really like the old machine it's trying to look like. SOUND: It sounds fine; the needle doesn't add any extra scratchiness or anything. A friend of mine suggested getting a replacement needle because apparently other needles offer some benefit (again, I'm not an expert on vinyl, I'm totally new to this) but I don't see much of a reason to, this sounds fine. The speakers aren't particularly good (I'm not new to speakers, so, I know how to criticize this, at least), they're pretty quiet and aren't particularly great in sound quality, as expected really since this is such an inexpensive setup. They worked for my small apartment, but I'd probably recommend getting new speakers if you want better quality or just want the sound to carry over more than a single room. This is made easy by the speaker outputs on the back of the turntable. COOL FEATURES: The AM/FM radio tuner and cassette tape inputs are both awesome touches! I can't say I've ever put a cassette in it (my generation may be semi-ironically into vinyl, but I don't think any of us would go near cassette tapes), but I use the radio tuner everyday to listen to a student radio station and it's really awesome to have! Overall, I love this turntable and I've been using it every day for a couple months. I'd recommend it; jump into that vinyl-revival.

This is a pretty nice turntable for 100 dollars
First I'll start by saying this is a very well made turntable. It's sturdy and is made out of decent quality wood. I have read in a few other reviews on Amazon from people that claim it doesn't get loud enough, and that it can't be heard all over their home. The sound quality of the one that i received is just fine, it's not mind blowing, but unless you live in a mansion I think that this can be heard throughout your home. I'm quite sure it gets loud enough for most. If it doesn't get loud enough for you there are ports where you can hook up extra speakers. The shipping time was great, about 6 days, and they packaged it pretty well. There are more expensive turntables out there that would probably blow this one away as far as sound quality goes, but this one really isn't bad for the price. So if you're someone who is just looking for a simple and decent turntable to play your old vinyl collection, this is a good choice. This probably won't satisfy an audiophile though, or anyone who is looking for superior sound quality.

Enjoying it so far
I'm a rather particular person when it comes to audio products, and when I finally decided on this record player I was quite hopeful and confident that it would fit my needs. I bought this one because I wanted a fully close-able (even when playing) player that could be expanded with additional speakers..while simultaneously not being that expensive. This one sounds pretty good with the built in speakers, though don't expect it to fill up a massive house, that's where the ability to hook other speakers comes in handy. I've tested it on a variety of new and old albums, it doesn't skip on any of them. The pros: easy to use nice finish sounds great can hook up additional speakers with ease price auto stop capable of playing all 3 standard record speeds The cons: radio is kind of hard to fine tune no auto return, but this doesn't really bother me at all.

Low quality sound - cassette player doesn't work.
If you are used to a "real" turntable connected to a receiver and speakers, you will be sorely disappointed. The turntable is low quality -- a plastic disc which is smaller than a record with a plastic arm. There are connections on the back for speakers, so the sound could probably be improved with speakers. I don't like that there's no way to adjust treble or bass. It sounds like the old portable radios. The radio tuning is analog; however, it picked up all radio stations I needed -- and we live out in the country. There's a wire antennae in the back that helps. The cassette player is on the side and has a cheap "forward" mechanism, but no rewind. On the item I received, the cassette player doesn't even work, so I basically have an analog radio with a cheap turntable. Shameful for the cost. I bought this to replace a Crosley -- which is also low quality.

Record player
The piece is beautiful, a lovely piece of furniture matching the living décor. The record player, cassette, radio do everything they need to. The internal speakers are sufficient for my use. The top closes while the record is in the machine, a great advantage. However, I did not realize the arm does not automatically move onto the record, one must do this manually. Also, one can not load a few records to play sequentially. Also, the cassette player does not have the 3-4 standard buttons that all other cassettes have. Nonetheless, the machine is a great size, has a nice record player (the reason I needed the machine) which play all the speeds I need.

Purchase? Yes/no
Some say it's not good quality. If you looking for a really nice record player... This is it! It's sleek design, and good quality for a unbeatable price. The speakers are really good quality and are pretty loud. May not be loud enough for some people, but it's plenty loud to hear from two rooms away! I would defiantly recommend to a friend.

Purchased this item in May, 2017. Had a blast enjoying some of my favourite vinyls. But after 2 months, the turntable is not getting switched on. Radio and cassette player seem fine but the Vinyl player is not working. Suggest people buy a a better product
