Nice folder, could use some improvements
I should have studied the description a little more carefully. This folder will not hold all the presidential dollars that are planned. It is volume 1, containing clearly marked and neatly arranged slots for coins from 2007 through 2011 plus four unmarked slots. I am not sure why they made four unmarked slots. It would be nice to have a slot marked for the back of the coin. Yes, I could use an unmarked slot for that, but I like neatness and consistency. The folder is small and elegant. It is made of cardboard that unfolds to display the collection from 2007 through 2011. The history or the presidential dollar is written on a flimsy flap of paper attached to the end of the final panel. Perhaps the unmarked slots should not have been punched out and the history of the presidential dollar could have been printed there. When I first tried to press the coins into the slot, the coins seemed a bit big or the slots too small. However, pressing more firmly, the coins settled in very nicely. They are snug in their slots and will not fall out. This is a nice folder, actually. I don't want anyone to think it's not, but there are improvements I would make if I could. I would be more satisfied with this folder if it could hold the entire collection of presidential dollars, if it had a slot for the tail of the coin and not the four unmarked slots, if the history of the presidential dollar was on a dedicated panel rather than a sheet of paper.

No slots for both D and P mints
I missed the review previously posted about not having slots for both mints. Like that reviewer, this works for one set, but be sure to buy two if you are collecting for both mints.

Not up to Whitman's Usual Standards
I have three children, and I'm making a set of the common coins for each of my children, so I own a few dozen different sets/volumes of Whitman Coin Folders. What I do is collect my pocket change and buy rolls of coins from the bank to find coins to put into the folders, and when I find a coin of better quality in my change/rolls, I replace the poorer quality coin with the better one. And whatever I have left, I roll up and sell back to the bank. Whitman coin folders are my favorite brand of folders for holding my coins, and most of the are very good for the price you pay and for what you get. Sadly, these folders don't quite measure up. I have three problems with them.First, the coin slots are generally too tight, so that you have to force the coins into slots in the folder. In some cases, you almost have to deform the slot to get the coin in.Second, the "backing" between the coin slot and the back of the folder is thin ... so thin that when I pop a coin out to replace it with a new one, I occasionally tear the backing. Exacerbating the problem is that the coins are wedged in too tightly so I have to push harder, but the thin material is most of the problem, and is not the same quality as in other Whitman folders I've purchased. And third, the other folders give you two coin slots per year, one for the Philadelphia Mint and the other for the Denver Mint. (Virtually all common coins are made at both mints.) These only have one slot per coin. This means that you have to buy a second folder for each volume if you want to store the coins from both mints. Other Whitman folders of similar size/style do not force you to do this. This folder very generously spaces out the spots for the coins and has four "blank" spots in the end of the folder which has no real purpose ... it could very easily be re-organized so you could have two spots per coin like in the other Whitman Folders.Overall, I'm very disappointed in these folders for Presidential Coins, especially when comparing them to all of the other excellent Whitman folders for other coins. I won't stop buying them, but I'm not happy about the general poor quality and the need to buy two folders per volume instead of only one for this set. Two stars.
