Lifeline Medical Thread Burner Tool (Can be Used for Fly Tying)

It is well made, sturdy, and easy to use. Gets really hot. I bought it for at home cherry angioma removal. It works better on small ones but Ive noticed if I let the metal part cool down too much it doesn't make the angioma go away as much, so just be careful with the higher heat and bigger cherry angiomas! This tool can definitely be used for its actual purpose too, which is thread burning.

This is my second thread burner I’ve purchased. I use it to zap small cherry angiomas and skin tags just like a dermatologist does.

Gets hot fast! Works perfectly for my use.

It's very useful for me to be able to do it at home and not have to go to the doctor.

I found a great system for easily targeting Just the skin tag without burning surrounding area- If you use a leather hole punch with the different hole size wheel/options to punch holes in a silicon baking mat, you can line up exactly the right size hole for the tag. The surrounding good skin is insulated from the extreme heat, and cleanly removes the tag first attempt. Very little sensation of heat that way too. *If there's one thing to pick about what's wrong with this heat pencil, is the switch is set too far back from the tip, so it's hard to keep vertical to the work area.

Probably shouldn't recommend buying this for burning warts off, but understand it was significantly more effective than any other cryo or oil treatment I tried
