Works as I as expected and more
Have an older model heavy duty shredder that started making really loud grinding noises. Used my shredder oil I had been using on it for 3 or so years but made no difference. Waited a day and oiled again but still grinding and struggling to pull paper through. Bought new less expensive micro cut Amazon shredder, which I love, and ordered this oil at the same time. Thought I'd at least try the new oil in old shredder and as soon as I ran the new oil through on paper and reversed it once and ran through again, the old shredder has not made the first noise and is working great. Now I have 2 working shredders. Don't know if this new synthetic oil was the only reason for the old shredder to work again but I know of nothing else I did differently and I am happy!

Hate to admit it but this is one case where WD-40 just doesn't quite work for long
Swingline ShredMaster Synthetic Shredder Oil is DEFINITELY the Right choice for shredders. Keeps blades sharp - clog free - static free AND CLEAN. I will NEVER use WD-40 on shredder blades again.... UNLESS the blades freeze up from age or storage at some point. But this Swingline oil is definitely the key to making a shredder last. With WD-40... I ended up with paper gunk.. but that's my fault. WD-40 is NOT meant for WORKING and MOVING shredder blades in the first place.

No Complaints
Purchased a new GBC shredder and needed oiled sheets. GBC/Swingline ones do not seem to be available in the USA, and third party one s have very mixed reviews. Saw an option to get GBC branded oil in a squeeze bottle and decided to DIY. Folded two sheets of paper in half and then placed them inside a gallon ziplock plastic bag. Then drizzled some oil on inside the folded halves and sealed. Worked the oil a bit through the bag, then let it set. Wait a while (or work longer) for it to soak throughout and then you have oiled paper ready to go.

Made in China.
Seems like good shredder oil, has no smell (unlike the stinky Fellowes shredder oil I used previously, that turned rancid enough to run you out of the room!) Shredder also seems to run better with the new oil. Would be 5 stars except for being made in China--c'mon, Swingline, support the USA! Edit: It has been 4 years since I first started using this oil. The funky smell of the previous Fellows brand oil is completely gone, and the shredder is still going strong--it sounds and performs pretty much the same as the day I bought it! This is the oil that I'll probably be using for my shredder from now on, unless I try (and like) the Aurora oil that says it is made in the USA (the Aurora oil wasn't available when I purchased this one.)

Keep the blades on the Shredder sharp and clean
I stream across the paper every now and then to keep the blades clean and sharp. I have used this product of over 3 years and my shredder is still operating great.

Exactly what I ordered!

Necessary lubricant
Works as advertised. Synthetic is a plus. Works best if you spread a small amount on a sheet of paper and run through shredder. Make sure you order separately because bottle may seep like mine did.

Shredder Oil Saved My Shredder
I was having continous problems with my shredder, a Fellowes PS80C-2 jamming and averheating. It was to the point that i was ready to replace it. I had used other oils to no avail. After two applications of Shredmaster Shredder Oil, my shredder returned to like new condition. I put the oil directly on the shredder. The instructions say to saturate paper and then shred it.
