PLATINUM Classic Ink 60ml Cassis Black, INKK-2000 15

I usually like to work with pen & ink with watercolor washes. These inks are great for that purpose as they are waterproof as well as not being the same. old black ink that I often find is too heavy for a painting.

I bought this ink to write in my journal. I was tired of using one-dimensional black ink so decided to give this rich dark brown color a try. Yum! And it is the same great quality as my Platinum Carbon Black Ink. Happy camper!!

This is ink is sticky in 4 different fountain pens! I love the color but if it doesn’t actually work beyond the first inked day, then it’s a waste!

Product was good, just thought it was going to turn black not just a bit darker red

The Platinum Black Classic line of inks are quite unusual in appearance and performance. They're iron gall inks, which have been in use for hundreds of years. There is a shift in hue even as you write, which I find crazy cool to watch happen. The ink will run a wide gamut of lavender -- from an English lavender to a twilight lavender to an old lavender and points between (see 'shades of lavender' in Wikipedia for definitions). The transition to darker hues of lavender continues over periods of months. Medium and stub nibs tend to allow the most expressive renderings of the ink.The ink is on the dry side and I can't get it to feather on any kind of paper. It looks and performs great even on cheap copier paper. Ghosting on cheap paper is minor to moderate, depending on nib size. On Rhodia there's nothing noticeable. Dry time is fast, under 5 seconds on Rhodia 21.3 lb paper, and exposure to water does leave a bit of dye bleed, but you can still read the original lines with no problem.I highly recommend this ink to give your writing a distinctive flair. Be sure to try the other inks in this series as well: Sepia, Khaki, Cassis, Forest and Citrus.

It has such a wonderful shading effect, and I love the way it changes colour on the page. It is absolutely my favourite ink so far, and well worth the money. It is pale greenish yellow when you lay it down, and darkens to an olive green if you use it sparingly, and black/dark olive green if you use a lot of it. I use it with a dip pen. I'd like to get the lavender black one as well, but will have to save up a bit.

I just love this ink - it writes so smooth - can get super thin, varying lines. The colour is so great as others have said here. Was very happy with this purchase and would order again. I also purchased the cassis - but I like this green colour a lot - so authentic looking.

渋めのグリーンで描いた時点でも彩度が落ち着いています。時間が経つと色味は変わり、ほんの少し黄色方向に色が寄ります。（Mnemosyneへの筆記）一緒に買ったカシスブラックは大きく色が変化するタイプでしたがこちらは、元から暗めの色なので、それほど大きくは変わりません。大人な落ち着いた風合いで使いどころが多そうです。もちろんプラチナの古典インクなので裏抜けにじみはほとんど心配いりません。実用性高いです。

他社のユニボール・シグノにボルドーブラックという廃番になったお気に入りの色があり、ずっとそれに近い色を探していました。このインクはクラシックインクなので、時間が経つと色が落ち着いてくるのですが、その最終的な色がまさにボルドーブラック。すばらしい。
