Bought these for my 1y/o thinking they might be better for him to not be able to chew like wax crayons, easier to hold etc. etc. but they are just the right size to pop in your mouth, I'd say about the size of a 50p, but nice and streamlined for throats. To be fair to them it does say 36m+ but it does also say BABY crayons! Won't be able to use these for a long while.

Perfect for small hands, draw nice colours even with very little pressure. Durable when dropped and thrown and don't cause any skin irritation.

The description described this as suitable for over 12 months however the box clearly states 3+. These eggs are too small for my 1 year old they are a chucking hazard. Really disappointed

We bought these as an Easter gift for our 2-year old daughter; she has had difficulties stemming from Global Developmental Delay which affects her fine motor skills. Having trialled other 'standard' crayons in different thicknesses, we found that her difficulty in holding and using the traditional shapes led to a lot of upset and frustration. On the suggestion from one of her therapists however, we picked up these egg-formed crayons which have been an instant success. Not only have they been so much easier for her to keep grip of, but she has been much more positive as a result. We really can't recommend these enough.

Amazon does say its suitable from 12 months however do note it is the size of a choking hazard and the box says 3+ years so im not holding that against the product. Just keep this in mind when using it or when you store it away. I got it for my 1 year old and I monitored her while using 1 at a time and she loved it. She threw it a few times and it stayed in one piece. So it is definitely durable. It fitted in her hand well and she could use it to make marks on paper. I think they are a great starter crayon.

This is perfect introductory crayon for my baby boy who is one year old! Even though it states on the package that the product is suitable for children over 3 years old, it is a great product for my son to use. It has beautiful 9 colours and easy for him to grip and scribble. His hands come off very clean so I don't need to wash his hands thoroughly after drawing with these crayons. It's nicely hard so it's unlikely to get broken or snap in half even if my son uses it a bit roughly like many toddlers do. The only thing I need to make sure is not letting him putting it into his mouth (as he loves chewing anything right now).If anyone is looking for an introductory crayon for a baby, this would be perfect. Of course adults supervision is always required as there's a choking hazard.
