Perfect when you need to prevent any kind of backflow I got this to make sure that during a power outage, there wouldn’t be a backflow into the circulation system of my pond. Works like a charm n

Fit perfect and does the job preventing backflow. It's only happened once, but had debris (straw/leaves) that had it stuck open. I would suggest installing this in conjunction with couplings to allow easy removal when cleaning might be needed. I did this after the fact and would have been easier to do with original install. It's tedious to clean as only long needle nose pliers are able to reach down in. A pair of hemostats would probably also work just as good.

Been using for 6 months no issues seals fine.

No need to go to the box store when I can have the same thing delivered for about $2.00 less!I did remove and cut the spring in half to make the valve open easier. Not a big deal or necessary but may have been helpful for my application with a small 1/2hp well pump sitting 80' in a 230' casing.

Bought this to prevent a back siphon from the return line to the sump on my aquarium.As one comment suggested, you can blow through it - though it ain’t easy. The cracking pressure, which is not listed, is way too restrictive for my application. It cuts my flow rate to less than half on a 450gph pump.This is made more for house or industrial water pressure, not recommended for aquarium use. Find a check valve that has the cracking pressure listed and go with the lowest you can find.

Bought these for the greenhouse hydroponics. Adding one going to our water tank stopped a water hammer issue on the supply line every time the float kept kicking on and off in the tank. Works great, does the job.

Prone to getting stuck fully open. Not full flow like flap one way valves.
