Why did you pick this product vs others?: Peltor delivers again with a quality product. I am a hobbyist woodworker and metalworker. I chose this style of hearing protection because I needed to wear a face shield and a traditional style ear protection would not work. These fit great and are comfortable. The sound reduction is terrific and makes using a saw or grinder much more enjoyable. I was skeptical about the design but they stay in place with no issues, no sliding off and are comfortable. I’m very pleased and will purchase these again if needed.

Not complete noise cancelling, but works well. I'm sensitive to certain tones and volumes so I try to use protection any time I'm on the mower or tractor. This makes the noise more comfortable. My wife tried them and liked them so much I bought her a pair too.

Great fit, good noise reduction, allows for hat. Reasonable price. Worth it to save your hearing.

effective - i work in banquets and hate the long amounts of time i'm exposed to noises like dishes clinking and vacuum motors. These work well enough to make these noises bearable for any length of time, but still leave enough hearing ability to hear people trying to get your attention. very comfortable- the ear cups are a good shape and size, even seal well with my glasses appearance - pictures show them as white or as very beige, in reality the color is in between the two- kind of a lite Caucasian skin color. this lets them be only slightly noticeable for me. the profile is low, similar to a pair of headphones- not too obtrusive behind the neck band- won't mess up hair, but makes noise when it touches things like shirt collars and necks that come directly into the ear pieces

I’ve used both Peltor earmuffs for 40 years, beginning with my marksmanship career with the U.S. Military and lasting throughout years of competing on several State National Guard teams . The regular Peltors fit well over my Marine uniform cover ( cap ), and the behind the head earmuffs were perfect for headgear with wide brims to protect against the sun. My original Peltors ( still in good condition with the earmuff plastic still intact ) were recently donated to my grandson to use while he was doing yard work, hence my recent order for replacement earmuffs.

Trap shooter and lawn mowing... Both need hearing protection, and this is a fine product. I use ear plugs under them also.

I love these for hearing protection. They are light, comfortable and easy to get on around my glasses. I use them in my wood shop and have actually ordered two so that I can keep them near my noisy equipment and not forget to protect my hearing.

Bought these as backup for other Peltor hearing protectors I've been using for more than 2 decades, which worked well until the shell cracked. They all had adjustable metal headbands easy get the right size. But these??? 3M should be ashamed of itself for not bothering to include any instructions. Really, how much money are they saving? They fit like none of the others I used in industrial noise control. They must be presuming that y'all are hunters been using these since you were in diapers, because there is zero info how to deal with the metal wires, how to adjust, etc., ... and the midget pictures on the box don't help! Seriously, you better know how these are intended to be worn and how to put them on and make adjustments. I know, presumably it's not rocket science, but if you aren't a hunter or haven't used this form factor, you're likely to be scratching your head. What is that mysterious (velcro-like) 8" strap? You better know before purchase, because 3M won't say. I gave them 3 stars, because regarding noise reduction, they work well enough for my use, silencing the lawn mowers, and the TV when I want to read.

I have sensory processing issues. Loud noise can cause extreme distress, like landscapers when they’re using their blowers for hours. I can sleep with this on with construction ear plugs underneath. Very comfy. I bring them everywhere. Recently to the ER filled with screaming children. People were visibly envious lol. They’re also great for their intended purpose. They work well for ear protection, and I can again pop them over my earplugs for double protection when using loud machinery because they sit around the neck, they stay on your neck if you have to pop them off, and there is no interference with a hard hat.
