A little pricey but it does what it says

Nice switch control unit, good for universal applications, too.
Very good product. Exactly what I needed. Hasn't gotten wet yet, so we'll see how it goes. Save the last star until I know for sure. :) EDIT: here we are five years later (purchased in 2014) and absolutely not one hiccup with this switch. This is and has been mounted to my old Magna which is a daily-driver sidecar outfit; so it gets used and abused. Not one issue with this switch. Definitely, for the price, what a deal.

Cheap - Failed
This switch failed after 18 months of light service. The starter button mechanism is cheap and stopped making contact. This switch could easily strand you.

Good Solid Plastic Switches...Poor fitment without shims
Switches are actually pretty well made considering its all plastic. I would have given this product 5 stars if it came with the rubber shims that some reported to get. I would have only knocked off one star for that if it wasn't for the fact the Run/Stop/Start switch I also received didn't have it either. Even though the product is pretty decent(for the price you cant beat it), not including all the parts is still bad QC and if it happens on different models of switches it is obviously a common problem. It is an easy enough fix, but I shouldn't have to run out and get more parts when they should have been included in the first place. For the 2 handlebars I tested it on, it would spin easily with out shimming the bar.Wiring was pretty straight forward and included diagram was accurate. The mating connectors included, while I did not use them because I soldered were a nice option if you choose to use the switch harness as it comes.

but it was super easy. I cut the wires and spliced them ...
I was expecting to have a tough time to install this after reading some reviews, but it was super easy. I cut the wires and spliced them into the existing cable for my '82 Kawasaki and it worked on the first try starting it up. The build quality is also better than I was expecting.

Unless you want to reuse some controls from another bike, this is kind of the only option.
I haven't tested if it works yet since it is being used on a custom build virago. But my impressions have been made. It feels super cheap, it's all plastic. Where the two pass through wires come out there is electrical tape, how cheap is that?..my fix for this was to just feed the heat sleeving under the larger one and now it actually looks good and wont become a sticky mess.Another big thing, this is not an OEM switch so why is there the nipple inside that is suppose to fit into a hole on your handle bars? I understand that you can just re drill a hole if need be, but still seems stupid to of included it on a non OEM part. Also the fit is not that great, even when tightened down completely it can still be moved. I will probably end up putting a layer of silicon on to help with that and make it a bit more water tight since there is an obvious gap.All together, I am kind of disappointed and am hoping when the corresponding left hand control come in that they are of better quality since those are even more expensive.
