Is the 800 portable? all fit in one box? I live in an apartment with no clear access to night sky. If not any recommendations what similar to buy?

In answer to your question, define "Portable." I know nothing about you or your ability to carry objects. What is 'manageable' to me may be way too much for you. Go to the Amazon.com AD and look at the weight of the telescope and tripod stand separately. You should be able to carry one of them at a time to your selected location. There is a case available for the 800, so that will make carrying it a little easier. I'm 71 years old and have the Celestron 11" SCT - it weighs about 70 lbs all by itself and is all I can barely manage. When I was young, I had a refractor with a 4" objective that I used to set up on the apartment roof while attending school at Arizona State Univ. Older and wiser now, I purchase everything with "Wheels" and I have the custom 3-arm wheeled caddy for my Celestron so no worries about lifting anything.

I don't remember exact dimensions, but it's huge. There are TWO boxes. Telescope and the Tripod in another one. Regards!

Can you hook up the telescope to a computer and view on the screen?

Sure, you’ll need a camera, USB cable connection (or RDP) and capture software (Like Sharpcap). So you can use telescope both visually & astro photographically.

Does this come with a CD?

No, CD with the unit just manuals. We site has some down loads and UTube is a greate resource.
