Great value
This is a very nice scope for a budget. There's nothing sloppy about about the mounts, adjustments or focus. It has a metal body and metal caps on the elevation and windage adjustments. The lens covers are actually transparent so you can look through the scope at any time, but they do induce distortion so I think they're more for quick spotting rather than shooting. The reticules do not look like the dovetail layout as seen on the product picture; I posted a photo showing what they actually reflect on the one I received. I don't think this difference changes the overall value of the product - it's strong with clear optics and decent performance for the cost. Here are the drawbacks I've noticed: The hex mounting nuts are loosening and backing off from the vibration of my SKS. I'm checking them every few shots to re-tighten. I'd use a tool to crank them down a little bit, but I'm concerned they might strip out. I think I'll use some treatment on the threads to keep the nuts from backing off so easily. And finally - eye relief. It's only 3 inches behind the scope, so I have to keep my head slightly more forward than I'd prefer when shooting. And with a diameter of 32mm I have to be in a specific spot to see straight through - there's not much room to move around. Neither of these are hurting my accuracy at all, but some people might need to add a riser to see without discomfort. I purchased this Leapers Offset Mount to rise the scope up and push it back a bit on my father's AR. It worked out perfectly - no more having to learn forward for a clear picture.

Surprisingly nice scope
Believe it or not this is a really nice scope to be priced so cheap. First of all it doesn't have zoom capability but the focusing and clarity is really nice for a scope in this price range. The housing is not cheap plastic. It's actually metal and the elevation and windage adjustments don't require a tool to adjust when you're in the field. There are two raised tabs that you can use to turn the adjustment dial. Love that feature! The mounting rings are also a metal material. The compact size is perfect for my Mossberg 715T AR type .22 rifle. I've tried larger scopes and they tend to throw off the balance when i'm aiming the rifle since the rifle is a light weight polymer. Doesn't show in the picture, but it comes with a tinted lense cover as well. It comes in a nice box from the manufacturer instead of that annoying hard molded plastic packaging that a lot of cheap scopes (Tasco) is shipped in. So all and all I'm really surprised and pleased with this purchase. Wasn't expecting much for this price but I got much more than I bargained for. And that's a good thing.

Great scope. Reticle complaints...
This is a great little scope! It seems to be made well, and for the price, I don't think you could get a better one. That said, I've got some thoughts:1. First off, the reticle is not what is advertised. Look up a crossbow reticle, and that's what it looks like.2. Second the crosshairs themselves are huge. It's probably around 10moa, meaning if you're looking at a target hundred yards away the crosshairs will cover up about 10 inches on the target.3. Thirdly, there's no included information as to the separation of horizontal bars on the reticle (like how many mils or moa they are apart). you could probably figure this information out, but it would've been nice to have been included . I know these are kind of nitpicks, and for the price I really can't complain, But forget about long-range shots with this thing. I'd say 50 yards is really the limit, but you could go out to 100 yards.I threw this on my AR just to plink around at the range, and it worked perfectly for that. You could probably hunt with it too, but I'd probably just leave it on a .22 or something for fun. overall, a great little scope, for a great price!

Product was returned due to a defect read on
So this appears to be the cheapest fixed zoom scope available on Amazon and I thought I'd give it a try.The price point is excellent the optics quality is acceptable it's a small frame design so probably best suited for an AR or something with a one-piece rail.It is not parallax adjustable which is to be expected at this point price point it is also not an illumination scope. Overall again for the price point an excellent value. It offers the style turret where you don't need a coin.No unfortunate thing in my experience I received one with a fairly large glue spot on the underside of the lens. There's no way to wipe that off. I will say this that it seemingly did not affect the sight picture but there's no way to tell for sure because I have nothing else to compare to. This is probably a one-off quality control issue.I did not test tracking I did not test whether it would hold zero. After noticing that glue spot it was something that's going to bug me for as long as I own the scope so I had to return it. However judging by the fit and quality of this scope I seriously doubt that it would have any issues holding zero or tracking properly. If it wasn't going back tomorrow I'd be tempted to put it on my rifle and test it out for sure. At the time of this review is 20 bucks with free returns so you really have very little to lose. Especially if you're worried about screwing up your scope due to a high recoil gun or air rifle. In my case I was going to put it on the 12 gauge shotgun.Do not underestimate cheap scopes I have been running a 4x20 tasco scope that I bought at Walmart for $7 on a 12 gauge shotgun. Although it is extremely small being a 20 mm it works well.

Useful Scope
For the price it's a good scope , it has yardage increments inside so that's a bonus. I just needed something cheaper to fit my SKS .
