Healing Meditation Audio CD – Audiobook, October 15, 2001

I wanted to get some meditation cds or some audio cds with music that I would normally hear at yoga just so I may practice relaxing. I received this cd in the mail the day that me and my ex broke up. I was so angry that I could not sleep. I was surprised at how wired I was because I barely slept the night before we broke up because I came home late because I was out with him and woke up early to get some things done--I didn't even have time to eat! After the break up I didn't even have an appetite but I had the energy to go run a mile or so. I decided to go ahead and listen to the meditation cd since I was too upset to go anywhere, call anyone or even read. I went from wired, and angry to fast asleep. How that happened I am not entirely sure but it definitely gets 5 stars for helping me get some much needed rest. I now listen to it at bedtime. I still have not been able to make it through the cd without going fast asleep. It works wonders for the times I need to sleep before work but not tired. As for my health, I am not as stressed out and I seem to be doing better at moving on. I did not have any ailments, so I cannot advise about the healing of those ailments. Additionally, I am shocked at how great I sleep with this cd, and how well rested I feel when I wake up. The one or two nights I have slept without it was not very restful--which is not too common for me, I usually always tired. Hopefully, I will be able to sleep without it in the future and not feel fatigued during the day. Until then I will play this cd every night.

I was hesitant to buy another guided meditation CD because I have bought so many before that didn't do anything for me, even from masters like Deepak Chopra (I still think he is a genius though). But no one can compare to Kelly. Her voice is like an angel and she uses some specialized equipment so you hear different words going into each of your ears at the same time. Also, after track one which is the guided meditation, you then hear 30 minutes of binural beats which ALWAYS lulls me into sleep, and I have a bit of insomnia! When I read all the reviews people wrote about her CD's I was skeptical. Yet, I bought a few, then a few more. In addition to this one, I also have the Universal Mind Meditation, Attract Wealth, Stress Free, and Guided Meditation. Last night I listened to the "Secret Universal Mind Meditation" which is suppose to open you up to be more intuitive. This morning I had to call the doctor for a biopsy result. I listened to the CD right before bed and fell asleep to it. When I just started to awaken, but still in a sort of alpha state I kept hearing in my head "you are fine, you are healthy, don't worry about your results." Sure enough, when I called the doctor, the test was negative. I plan to purchase every single CD Kelly makes. Buy as many as you can afford, you will not regeret it! There is not another product out there like this. I have only listened to this and the secret mind so far, but they are purely brilliant! I wish Kelly would make some more! Please do so Kelly! How about one for procrastination and creativeness, I think we could all use that. Thank you for this wonderful gift!

I like that in the first part of the CD, she talks you through a guided imagery of a "place" you can go to relax, rejuvenate, and heal your mind and body. I need someone to take me there, as I get distracted very quickly. The breathing exercises help you slow down so that you can follow her along the journey she creates for you to totally relax yourself. After that, the music with the binural beats comes on, but I fell asleep. I have difficulty falling asleep no matter how tired I get, but this really did relax me.The only thing that was a little weird at first, was the postive affirmations coming from both sides of the surround sound, but if you know they are on the disc, and expect to hear something a little different, it won't come as a surprise. After a few times, you look forward to hearing those on both sides of your headphones (and brain) and you kind of feel it sinking in. They are not a negative for me, but it's just a little heads up.I would buy others in her series, but I think this is fairly universal. One other review mentioned that the sound was scary, and this was not scary to me. I am a chicken. I actually bought another CD from another artist/company that really did have scary sounds and I gave it away. This was not scary, but everyone has their own version of that too.With all of this said, I really like it and was pleasantly surprised.

I just want to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to Kelly Howell for producing such an amazing product! It has been a VERY important tool in my Life, as I've overcome Lyme's disease. When I was diagnosed, I was really sick: exhausted, achy, sore joints, and at times felt like I was literally poisoned, as the nasty bacteria coursed through my body. I was determined to face this health challenge head-on, from multiple angles, one being the use of this CD. I've been listening daily to this guided-meditation CD for approximately 6 weeks, and I am experiencing healing on multiple levels! An internal scar from abdominal surgery 30 years ago, which ALWAYS caused me pain if I stretched in a certain way...is gone! A recurrent charley-horse in my left calf that I had had for years, that would rear its ugly head if I pointed my toes as I stretched...is gone! The multiple symptoms of Lyme's are decreasing DAILY. I'm not kidding! What a blessing this CD has been! I'll definitely be ordering others now, as I intend to heal and grow in EVERY area of my Life! Why NOT??? Life is EXCITING again...and you can't put a price tag on that. :-)

I found this to be effective in pain relief and relaxation. The one thing I didn't like so much was the change to the second half of the cd. It always jars me from my deep relaxation into a fully awake state. They do say in instructions to use each half alternately but when so deeply relaxed, and sometimes asleep, it's such a sudden feeling of jumping awake.

I was not aware that it used subliminal messages. I dont like it when it it sends another message over the other, it gives me an anxious feeling, but otherwise it would be ok if this doesnt worry you

Kelly has a very relaxing and calming voice, you need to listen to the CD through ear phones for good effect. The meditation leaves you feeling positive, calm and uplifted.

Very helpful and relaxing

Have used this regularly since i bought it. Has choice of 2 programmes, one with guided visualisation and one with just the sounds. find the music and sounds almost hypnotic. Both half hour long but goes so quickly. would recommend.
