FRYE Women's Abigail Riding Polished Boot

From a boot comparison standpoint, these are expensive compared to other Fryes. Sure they are made from high quality supple leather and crafted to a beautiful design, but so are other Fryes. Well this is why Fryes moved most of their production to Mexico and China. Spanish workers get paid more (including Siestas) and the prices reflect this. However this is a beautiful boot, lined in leather, made in the Olde World and I gotta keep them. I was afraid they would be too tall but they’re fine. Leather is soft & supple so wouldn’t matter. Inside boot pulls. No problem with shaft width or getting feet in boot. Soft shine to leather, very few details to let leather speak for itself. My pair was new without toe creases. Currently look like wellies but with time shouldn’t. In the end, Frye or Amazon lost money on me because I got this on sale.

I really love these boots. I really went back and forth on buying these boots. To me, they are super expensive. But the colour, style, just everything about them, was exactly what I wanted. Exactly. Finally, the price dropped enough, and I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate a bonus from work. I am SO GLAD I did.I am 5'6" and not thin. I don't have large calves but I also don't have thin calves either. My Levis tend to be a size 12......if that helps. I do have longish legs for my height. The shaft of the boots are tall and fitted. These boots are NOT easy to get on! I finally bought some boot hooks to make it easier. They do but it's still not a quick easy task. Getting them off isn't a walk in the park either. I also bought the conditioning cream to soften the leather up a bit and help protect my investment from our crappy Iowa winters.That all said, after wearing them around the house over some leggings for a day, I love them. These are quality boots. Not a cheap, wear for a year, fashion boot. But boots I will likely have for many years. The kind of boot that only gets better with age. I love the natural colour. It's not common and one of the reasons I just had to have this particular boot.So, if you have short legs or large calves....I wouldn't recommend them. If you want a very tall, fitted boot that is very high quality, they are perfection. If you have thin calves, they will be less fitted on the leg I am sure. But still, keep in mind, they are TALL. I just adore these boots.

The boot is gorgeous, but the fit is not good. My regular size 9 was tight, so i ordered the 9.5 and they were too big. The leather is beautiful, but very, very hard. If I had the time and patience to break them in they could essentially become my favorite boot. But for the money involved in this transaction, they need to be perfect right out of the box and that was not the case. The inside foot bed is also beautiful leather, but causes the foot to slide with each step, this would have to be remedied by some sort of an insert to stabilize the foot. All in all too much work for such an expensive boot.

I absolutely love these boots! To me they are exactly what I wanted, timeless style that I could wear with anything. These areof the highest quality and you will pay for it. You wont regret your purchase, I think I will have them lifelong. The leather is stunninghowever if you dont like shiny you might not like these. Not patent leather shiny but I just shined by boots shiny. The fit is perfect,only slightly large as I took my normal size. No regrets, I'm just glad I took the chance and ordered them. I did not want to spend this much. Considering the quality, the timeless beauty, style and comfort I think It was a good purchase.

I have been looking for some really nice riding boots for awhile now, but I am pretty selective. I wanted good quality leather and beautiful craftsmanship. Frye's has top notch quality and the Abigail Riding boot will not disappoint.When I saw these online, I was hesitant about purchasing something without touching and trying them on. Because of the positive reviews, I decided to give them a shot. I am so glad I ordered them! The leather is beautiful, the craftsmanship is definitely finely done, and the fit is perfect! They are so classic, they will never go out of style. Not only do they look beautiful on, but they are durable...I will wear these for a very long time, so it's a good investment for the price.I usually wear size 6 1/2 medium and ordered my size. The fit is exact and my foot does not feel cramped in the foot bed.As for the fit around my calves, I have athletic calves and it's usually difficult to find boots that fit well. These have a nice fit, without being too tight. Also, the boots are not too tall, even though I am only 5"2', but I do have long legs; so perhaps the reason why the height of these boots work so well for me.Loving my new boots!

I am a knee high boot junkie... I wear them all fall/winter... So I have become pretty picky about my boots and their quality. I am 5'11" with long legs (36 in inseam) so an additional challenge to finding knee high boots that are tall enough. I own several pairs of frye boots that I have collected over the years. Frye boots last forever and still look great year after year. With all that said... THESE BOOTS ARE AMAZING! These are by far my new favorite pair of boots. They come to about 1.5 inches below my knee. So could see how for shorter girls these would be too tall. Most frye boots have a bit of a country western feel to them... These do not which I love. As most other reviews have mentioned... High quality, classic beautiful style. Looking to buy in other colors now as they go on sale.

I absolutely loves these boots. They fit a little snug when I first tried them on but I wore sweat socks and walked around in them a little to help break them in. They fit better once I did that. I also love that they were only $162 when I got purchased them. I would have never paid $698 for them. They are a quality boot and it shows. I can't wait for the fall to wear them. Definitely happy with my purchase.
