i was skeptical at first about this product but now I'm a believer. This is a sturdy case. Can be used both with and without an iPad case. It won't fall out or fall forward (provided you fastened it properly). We use this on the headrest for our baby to watch cartoons, he's always fussy in car rides but now we can play shows and he can watch---can't even tell there's a baby in the car with us! That alone is enough for me to recommend this product to friends with fussy babies! It's very durable (not made of plastic) and it holds very still, even in bumpy roads....this doesn't jiggle or bounce which is nice. I don't worry about our iPad sliding in the holder and getting dents...this hugs the iPad very nicely. We call it a life saver for car rides! Happy baby=happy parents![...] :)

I originally purchased a version that relied upon clamps, and utilized an arm and pivot setup. Looking around on Amazon, that design appeared to be the most popular. While it worked ok, I had issues. First, wobbling. The vibration of the front seat, transferred through to the iPad. Not sure any mount designed in this way could prevent this. Second, I had mine mounted in my GMC Yukon, and I flip the center seats for access to third row seat. The seat would rest against mount, creating a problem. Lastly, it simply didn't look very professional. Not that it needed to look built in, but they simply stuck out.This mount solves ALL of these issues. Built super solid. Very little vibration since its braced against the back of the seat. Also, since it's pressed against the seat, and not sticking out, the folding seat isn't an issue. Affordable, and works awesome.

I searched online reviews for weeks looking for a portable dvd player to take with us on vacation. Most of the reviews of dvd players said they either loved them or the dvd player stopped working for no reason. So I'm glad I stumbled on this product to hold the ipad. We haven't gone on vacation yet, but we have used it in the suv for my toddler to watch tv shows on the ipad if we are going somewhere that's over a 30 minute drive. She is still rear-facing, and this fits perfectly on the headrest of the middle seat in the back of our suv. It's far enough away she can't kick it. The ipad doesn't move around a lot in it. The ipad can be put in the holder with the speaker facing either way, so we point it more toward our daughter. I think the ipad does have a glare on it from the sun, but it doesn't bother my daughter. We are so happy with this purchase!!

I used this on a recent Delta international flight, which only had the option to strap around the closed tray table since interrupting the passenger in from of me me to wrangle around his head headrest would be awkward and met with a "no" when asked. Attached to the tray table, the angle of viewing was pointing downwards, but was able to somewhat correct this by piling items under the strap to get the viewing angle pointed upwards more,yet still was a little too low for enjoyable watching.The other issue is that there is a lot more room than needed to secure my iPad without wiggling it around. I managed to resolve this by securing some felt padding to create a snugger and more stable fit. I am sure there could be better uses and functions for cars, and other areas, but for in flight use, it could be better.

We purchased two of the iPADKET for a road trip with two children in an attempt to avoid fighting and allow each child to watch what they may want. The installation/setup really was a breeze. I think it should go without saying, but for safety sake I will point out that you will absolutely want to install the headrest mount before you're on the road. Once they are attached to the headrest, they don't impede or pose discomfort for the driver or passenger and we left them in place for the duration of our week long trip.A few items worth noting... small children will NOT be able to reach the iPad when mounted on your headrest. This means you will need to remove the iPad to set up the show and re-insert the iPad into the headrest mount. Obviously, this is impossible for the driver to do while driving, and can pose a challenge for the passenger to do without some contorting. The problem is that unless you spin around in the seat, it's a little iffy to get the iPad back into the mount without bumping something which will pause or exit the movie and then you're back to square one.While looking at the mount from the front, it may appear that the iPad can be installed facing either direction, please note however that the holes for the headphones, volume control etc only line up one way!All in all, this was a life saver on the trip. This headrest mount was easy to install, held the iPad's securely enough that I didn't worry about them bouncing out, and were relatively easy to get the iPad in and out of when we were not going to be in the car for an extended period. We're clad to have them for future trips and I would definitely buy again/recommend them to friends & family.

I use this with a first generation iPad. I use it in my car and stroller (with our stroller my little guy can face away or towards the handle. We face him towards the handle and strap the holder on)All buttons, charging port, and speaker are open and accessable.The one thing is I have to take my iPad out of the case to slip it in this holder, but other holders I researched look like you have to do that anyway. The elastic strap and velcro are very strong and give me confidence that it won't fall off. The holder itself is plastic but is in no way flimsy or flexible. There is a foam pad you can stick to the holder if you feel your iPad slips in and out too easily. I am using it and my iPad doesn't move at all.This holder is less expensive that the others on the market and we love it.

This fit my iPad perfect. We use this in the car and works well for front facing or rear facing car seat.

Love this product so much!! Bought it to use for a flight across country for my daughter, it held our iPad securly around the tray table.

Call me a bad mom, but iPads in the car distract my son who hates car rides, which reduces distracted driving for me and makes me feel safer!

Very good. Just taught it would be for 7" screens too but still can use it. No complaints here
