Whimsical and Wild (Happy Hour Art Journal)

Great creative ideas for practicing watercolor painting. Sometimes I don’t want to take the time to create a drawing to paint. Mostly, I prefer to start with the idea presented and then change it to make it my own. This is a fun way of transferring a wonderful drawing to watercolor paper and dive straight in to painting. The pages in this book are already scored and are easily removed without destroying them.

This is a beautiful book, with a mix of colors and textures. I love the inspirational art and the sepia coloring pages. Thick pages.

Jane's Whimsical and Wild is different among other Art Instruction or Coloring Books. It has to grab the attention of creatives & it does by giving open ended play.It gives the chance to draw on, put color in or Glue collage paper for color fun. There are stickers as extra cheerfulness. The most endearing parts of this book are the Jane words. Even for those who don't follow her online or are one of her "Daven Peaps" this book is good. It makes an excellent gift for any animal lover as well. This creative bought 2 as gifts & will buy this book again.

This book is full of inspiration. It is easy to use as a template as pages are perforated. I used this on several pages of my art journal.

This is a delightful, fun "activity book" for adults. (I suppose kids could use it too, but why let them have all the fun? This time around Jane Davenport applies her considerable whimsical art skills to a menagerie of animals and, of course lovely girls. There are different types of paper so you can break-out your stash of art supplies and play with all sorts of different mediums. I am particularly fond of the tissue paper included in the book. From beginners to the more advanced artist, there is something for everyone in this charming book. Well-done, Jane!

Was absolutely gutted to figure out it was a coloring book. No bad rating as I should have read the description better.

I love Jane Davenport and appreciate her artistic style, and this book is great. I haven't colored any of the pictures but I've copied some and put in my junk journal. She's fabulous

Really love this.. Beautiful and simple artwork for a novice and someone not so patient as to stay in the lines. It's very "forgiving". Perfect for kids and adults. Bought this for a young friend, and then myself because I had to have one too!

I LOVE THIS!!!! It’s a mixed media workbook (has colour pages for pencil crayon markers, water colour) as well as stickers and collage paper. The designs are so cute and wonderful. I actually like this book better than the Whimsical Girls one (although I that one too). For anyone that likes colouring using a variety of materials and animals, this is for you!

Great book

This book is so beautiful, actually is the 2nd time I bought it, this time for my 6 year old daughter since we enjoy watching Jane's Facebook art lives together, I thought it would be a nice present for Xmas, I like to be prepared ahead of time, looking forward to be have some mother and daughter fun mixed media art sessions together of course with the amazing art of Jane.
