“The queer teen historical you didn’t know was missing from your life.” — Teen Vogue, on The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue In this funny and frothy novella that picks up where the New York Times bestselling The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue leaves off, freshly minted couple Monty and Percy fumble through their first time together. Monty’s epic grand tour may be over, but now that he and Percy are finally a couple, he realizes there is something more nerve-wracking than being chased across Europe: getting together with the person you love. Will the romantic allure of Santorini make his first time with Percy magical, or will all the anticipation and build-up completely spoil the mood? Montague Siblings Novella: Find out what happened right after Monty and Percy’s grand tour ended. This story is the perfect follow-up for fans of the series. Queer Historical Romance: Set against the sun-drenched backdrop of 18th-century Santorini, this charming tale is filled with witty banter and swoon-worthy moments. First Time Nerves: Monty has a reputation, but when it comes to the boy he actually loves, all his swagger disappears. A sweet and funny look at performance anxiety and awkward firsts. Humor and Heart: Expect disastrous attempts at seduction, scene-stealing sister Felicity, and the hilarious, heartfelt conversations that happen when two people are truly learning to love each other. Review: Give me all the Monty and Percy! - Audible Review: Overall 5 out of 5 stars Performance 5 out of 5 stars Story 5 out of 5 stars So much love for Monty and Percy! I would seriously listen to anything having to do with Monty and Percy, the length of the story would make no difference, I love them that much! This was short but oh so sweet! It left me wanting more, more, more- I'm pretty sure I'd think that no matter what. They are just the cutest boys and I adore them! This story had me laughing out loud, but then getting all up in my feels a minute later. Monty was so unsure of himself, it was adorable and frustrating all at once. Christian Coulson narration is perfection. I'm pretty sure I said that when I reviewed TGGtV&V, but it's true. He does such a fantastic job bringing Monty, and Percy, and all the other characters, to life. It's such a wonderful experience listening to his performance. Review: Satisfying! - I got this little book because I absolutely had to read how the characters got along after their big misadventure. I don't know if it's worth the entire price I paid for so few words, but I guess if you're hooked your hooked.

Charming and Surprisingly Calming
Romantic and encouraging that not everything has to be and usually won’t be perfect so just go with the flow and enjoy the experience of life and falling in love. Can’t wait for the next full novel in the series beyond this more playful, conveniently short, useful interlude in the overall story that picks up where Percy and Monty left in the previous book. Enjoy reading it.

Barely an appetizer...
Don't get me wrong, I like Mackenzie Lee. I do love her characters Monty and Percy and was hoping for quite a bit more. This little (and by little I mean very, very short) book is passed off as a novella. It truly isn't. If you count the 17 blank sheets the book clocks in under 100 pages and I think it would be generous to say that it's even 10,000 words total. There is the fun banter and hopeless inner monologue of poor Monty as he attempts to face the approaching move to London with Percy. Same ol, same ol. And really, that's where the problems arise. This novella, which would be more accurately described as a short story, lacks one thing...a plot. Further, it takes place during the weeks between the other two novels, so we already know what the outcome will be. Is it worth the $10 price tag? Nope, sorry. This seems like a bit of a money grab by our dear Miss Lee. It isn't so much a story as it is an addendum. A cup of weak tea that possibly was edited out of the first book and resurrected and foisted on an unsuspecting fanbase. It isn't a story if nothing happens...and truly nothing happens in this. There isn't even one new character introduced. Perhaps in writing about so many pirates, Mackenzie Lee has actually become one...because I feel a bit robbed.

Nailing the Emotions of Intimacy!
I love love loved this exploration into Percy and Monty getting intimate for the first time. Lee just perfectly nails (oh, that pun was honestly not intended) the complicated emotions that go along with having sex with a partner, what it means when one person has experience and the other doesn't, and how loving the person you're with changes everything. And per usual, Felicity had me literally LOLing.

These precious chaotic darlings own my heart
This made my heart ache with how well Monty's PTSD is handled and how beautiful his love for Percy is as a catalyst for change in his life. I love these characters so much and this was well worth waiting for.
