I purchased this a as replacement to the factory 8" Pioneer sub that came in my 2006 HHR. I originally blew the factory sub when disconnecting my phone while playing music. I learned my lesson.. When looking for a sub I had 2 requirements, 2 Ohms and the speaker depth from behind had to be 3.8" or under. It was difficult finding a sub with both requirements. I really wanted to purchase a rockford fosgate 8" sub that had perfect reviews and great price but the depth was 4.4". The only real option was a slim/ shallow mount design sub by Pioneer at almost $80. I took a chance with Pyle at 18$ and I am very pleased with my purchase. I recommend this sub. I have an eclectic taste in music however I mostly listen to electronic and early 90's hip hop. I can get the clarity I want by using the EQ on my factory radio. My only real concern was running a risk of blowing the speaker since the factory amp is 2 Ohms and the Pyle is 4 Ohms. All is well so far. No distortion or clipping. If you are replacing the sub in your HHR, I recommend you troll the internet for a quick howto. There's one floating around in the HHR forum. The speaker fit in the factory box perfectly replacing the factory sub. No modifications were required.

The rear woofer on my Chevy Tahoe was blown so, since I was replacing all the speakers in my doors (6), I went ahead and ordered this 8” woofer to replace it. It fit right into the round slot in the mounting box that held the old speaker. When I turned the treble all the way down with the corresponding adjustment to the base on my radio, the pulsating sound of pure base tones came through clearly with no broken, sputtering frizzy sounding pulsations present at all. I’m not a speaker expert, but I know enough to appreciate good smooth sounding music from speakers that are put to the ultimate test. I like the solid guarantee that comes with the speaker as well.

I bought this sub for a replacement on my 97 ls400 trunk sub because it was blown and I wanted it to just test it out it and I plan to upgrade soon and I saw some bad reviews and expected it to blow but wired properly I have it wired to a 1100 rms amp wired in parallel for 2 ohms with a 600 rms 15in sub and I been running it for a week with long 2 hour trips and has held up remarkably well for what I expected to be a pyle of trash and I haven't been soft with this sub neither but keep your expectations at the price point and you will be suprised don't push 800 or even like 600+ watts out of this sub and you will be alright you get what you paid for. it's not built too bad like yea it's not the most quality built sub but it ain't bad. pretty sure 80% of the failure from these subs is user error improper wiring, too much wattage and just expecting too much from like a 30$ sub my only complaint is just the holes for mounting I wish they could be closed off but again it's cheap as can be definitely worth the buy just don't expect JL, sundown quality

This economical subwoofer does a great job on my golf cart. I have all Pyle components on my cart including 5 1/4 speakers, marine amplifier, 2000W amplifier driving the 800 watt subwoofer with Pyle crossover. System works great and sounds great. Pyle products from Amazon is a good choice.

Waited a minute to review till it broke in. I installed it to my factory sub location with factory amp in my Lincoln, and honestly it sounds really good, it doesn't pound even when it's to an after marker Amp (yes i did test it in an aftermarket amp to see) even with that it doesn't pound but holds its own and does sound good and enough accent bass lol, i would recommend for decent Bass. Don't expect it to vibrate your brain, good accent bass

Definitely a cheap sub but that’s why it’s less than $30. After I first installed it, I thought it was blown right out of the box but I realized one of the terminals wasn’t even soldered to the voice coil wire so after I fixed that, it was better sounding than I expected but still very unimpressive. I have it installed behind my driver seat in an old bass tube I had laying around on a 250 W max amp into both voice coils and it seems to be handling it for the past couple weeks. There’s no way this thing handles 800 W though. Maybe for a few seconds it would. Not terrible for the price but you definitely get what you pay for.

Nice 8 inch sub got about 200 peak going to it after the brake in where I run 100 rms for 4 to 6 hours . sounds great and fits my gmc yukon xl like other said keep the ring off your stock sub .place it in between new sub and faxtory box perfect spacer works great sounds great at 13 bucks don't think to hard buy it...update I have a bad sub now it's coils have let loose currently the glue on the inside is no good didn't even make it one year at 200 Watts.. Its rating for 250 it was never pushed hard this was what I have my kids in primarily used just for listening to the radio and watching DVDs cheap sub works great when I got it with longevity is not there these are still jumped or quality control must really suck voice glues did not hold its not fryed they are just loose which in turn has shorted out with my amps... I would say if the glue was good it would have continued to work just fine it did not melt the coils they have just come loose internally ..if I was pushing them at what they were rated I don't think it would have last no more than a day.....bummer.. Great price looks good but just not made well.....

Ho sempre avuto subwoofer di marchi blasonati, per questo non ero tanto convinto prima dell'acquisto. Appena scartato sono stato notevolmente sorpreso dalla qualità costruttiva e dalle rifiniture, da vero Subwoofer quasi professionale. Dopo di ciò sono passato alla qualità del suono, ci ho costruito una casa armonica artigianale e la qualità del suono è davvero ottima tenendo conto del diametro di soli 20cm, in passato ho avuto sempre 30cm, ma vi assicuro che questo piccolo sub non lì fa rimpiangere. Io lo uso con un amplificatore di classe D di 200w RMS, consiglio di non collegarlo ad amplificatori oltre i 250w RMS perchè suonando per molto tempo la bobina si fa abbastanza calda quindi potrebbe deformarsi e gracchiare. Pecca su alcune frequenza molto basse, ma a questo prezzo, credetemi, non c'è nulla di migliore. (le specifiche tecniche riportate qui su Amazon sono sbagliate, i watts in RMS sono 400, come dimostra la foto)

仕様通りに再生周波数応答域が25-200Hzなので、ウーファーでしか使えないですね。 思ったより良い音してます。 (100Wクラス 0.1ch ラインのDigital AMPの方が耐えられなかったです。) ウーファーBOX x 2個と本体ウーファーをもう1基と専用LPFを手配してDIYに走ってます。 フル音量で聞けないですけど、自作600Wアンプを仕立ている最中です。 plpw8dは何ヘルツに設定すべきか、はメーカーサイトのQ&Aで ソフト設定の場合は80Hz、ハード設定の場合は100Hzで使ってください ってなってます。

I bought the 2010 Ford Edge used and it came with no sub. The speakers are only a 2-way so I had zero bass. My cellphone had more bass. The previous owner gave me the sub and box out of his 2011 but I still had no amp. The factory sub is a 60w 1.2ohm DVC, what is a odd rating. I couldn't find an amp to run it and the factory one was a joke. So I ordered the Pyramid PB715X 1000w amp and the Pyle PLPW8D 8" 800w DVC Sub woofer. It cost me $100 for the 2. These are both products my by "Pyle" (I didn't know that at the time). I have to say this amp and sub woofer fit perfectly into this truck and sub-box. They sound great together and I now finally have some Boom, Boom, Pow in my truck. These seem to be a great product and I'd recommend them if you want quality a tight budget.
