Whenever I am to start at a new place of living or Home Officing - this is what I am going with for ambient light. Simple, cheap and functional

It Works without lots of bells and whistles. BUT TWO things NEED more Attention & DESIGN ENGINEERING to make this a FIRST CLASS 5 star lamp for the price:FIRST - the light bulb shipped with the lamp was not bright. its a low level warm and DID NOT light up the area I needed to light up! I had to get a different LED one so I could SEE what I got the lamp to light up. What I find works great for this size lamp are LED 800 lumen 10.5w 5000KSECOND - there is NO WAY to lock or tighten the angle at which you TRY to set the lamp because all the lamp has are screws and nuts NO easy grip knob. SO, the lampshade drifts downward.

Love that it moves smoothly, great light, perfect for a nail tech.It is a little bit big so take that into consideration with ur desk size

It wasn't as versatile as my previous product which I thought i was ordering. I found a better replacement and exchanged the items with Amazon. Everything worked out. Thanks Amazon.

Works perfectly for my desk

I purchased two of these lamps and they were bigger than I expected. That isn't a bad thing, just make sure you pay attention to the measurements. I do like these lamps. A lot, actually. I got them for the two desks I have in my office and they would have looked great. I like the nice matte dark grey color. They were also a bit sturdier than I was expecting. If you know how much they cost at a retail store, you how low the price for this product can get, so I was expecting a junky super-light product. I was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't expect it to survive 10 years with constant adjustments, but this is a cheap lamp so you need to set your expectations accordingly.Unfortunately, I will have to return them. The seller/manufacturer does not box these. They come in a plastic bag. Hence, when amazon sent two of them in a box to me, they damaged each other in transit. One of the lamp shades was crushed as well, which likely did not happen in transit as the box was in perfect condition. Also, I don't believe the second lamp was heavy enough to crush the shade/bell. I do not know if amazon or the seller is responsible (hence the mentioning of this in a product review) but if this was packaged in a box from the get-go, it wouldn't have been an issue to begin with.I do like this lamp. If you want to order one, my advice would be to order one at a time and nothing else with this product so you know your lamp is getting dedicated packaging as the inner packaging will just be a plastic bag. If I change my mind and exchange instead of return, I will update this review. I purchased them in an attempt to improve lighting for zoom meetings and did not experiment with that use case because of the damage.

This lamp came with thorough Ikea-style directions, which were easy to follow. It works well, gives excellent illumination, and the only thing I would change would be the location of the switch.
