Leupold Scope Cover Black

Fit like a glove!

I bought this to protect my Leupold VX-FREEDOM 2x7 rimfire scope mounted to my Ruger 10/22. It fits perfectly and looks great and, most importantly, it cushions my scope.

Did a little research on it before I ordered the xl cover. Supposedly the right one for my Leupold scope. (4.5-14 x 40 vx3) It does fit, but it is tight. Other than that it is good.

These are nice covers. I have a few of them but they always came with my scopes.I ordered this for a VX HD 5 with 44mm front lens. This cover is too small. I will have to order larger.

The large fit my Leupold VX-Freedom 3-9x40mm perfectly while being thin enough to still fit nicely in my case. It goes on and off quickly and easily. Seems to be quality and durable.

All of my scopes are Leupold and I want them to be protected because Leupold is not inexpensive. Like the other scope covers I have purchased and reviewed on Amazon, I always contact Leupold with the p/n of my scope and ask for the correct scope cover p/n. For some reason Leupold has a real mismatch in their product database. They will give me the p/n of the cover I need for my scope....problem is the cover will always be one size too small. Leupold will tell me I need a small cover and provide the p/n when the small cover won't fit my scope - despite the fact I gave them the scope p/n. Getting burned by buying a small when I needed a medium, I learned the drill. I contact Leupold get the p/n for the scope cover, look up the scope cover and get the next size larger. After the first small/medium debacle I have purchased three additional scope covers that fit perfect by ordering the next size up.So why did I give this product 5 stars if the previous paragraph is so negative? The problem part number problem is with Leupold, not Amazon nor the seller from whom I bought the scope cover. I got exactly what I wanted and needed and got it really fast....just wish Leupold's product database was as good as its products.....Leupold make great stuff, Amazon and the seller got me the great stuff fast. Can't beat that.If you contact Leupold and they give you the p/n for a medium cover, order the large. If they give you the p/n for a large cover, order the x-large. If they give you the p/n for a small order the medium. I have no clue what the small covers fit...probably the CQT since that's a real small scope.

The large fits a vx freedom 3-9x40 just fine, but the cover itself is thin and feels cheap compared to the vortex scope cover I purchased for another scope. That cover also had loops on the ends which makes it easier to remove quickly or with gloves on. This one has no loops. They're both about the same price and actually right now the vortex is cheaper. I'm a big fan of most of Leupold's products, but If you don't care about matching brands I'd say get the one from vortex.
