Topdress Women'sVintage Polka Audrey Dress 1950s Halter Retro Cocktail Dress

I took a risk and bought this dress last minute for my graduation, and I'm in love!! The quality is fantastic, and the price is very very reasonable. Finding reasonably priced vintage inspired items that are also good quality is difficult, which is why this dress is a godsend. I'm 5'4" and the length hit me at about my mid calf, which is where I like my dresses/skirts to fit. It could easily be hemmed up if need be.This is easily one of my favorite dresses that I've ever bought. I'd recommend this dress to anyone, you can dress it up or dress it down. It's definitely a statement dress.I wasn't crazy about the elastic/corset detail in the back, but that was easy to hide, and I will give credit to the fact that it allowed for a more accurate fit without needing to take anything in. The material is breathable and it's got a bit of a stretch to it, there's really nice movement. There's a side zip too, and I like that you can adjust where the bodice fits on you with the straps.The fabric itself is so much fun, it's super unique, and a crinoline looks great under! But even without the crinoline, you'd still get some nice shape going. I did notice that it wrinkled by the end of one wear, but the wrinkles weren't super obvious because of the darker color, and they could be easily removed.I'd say that it was definitely worth it, and I will be wearing it again!

I bought this dress for my Bridal Shower. I ordered one size up b/c I’m more of a busty girl with a smaller waist and wider hips (hourglass shape). The fabric matched the image of the white floral pattern. The tie around the waist is just that, a long piece of fabric. It’s best to know how to tie a cute bow for this dress, the fabric was long enough to go around my waist and tie a decent bow. The neck line sits higher than I’m use to but it’s more appropriate than what I was expecting, which is great for the crowd I will be in. Because I ordered one size up, the middle around the waist was considerably bigger than needed; but the lace up back helped synch in to fit great. I added a petticoat (white) underneath for a slightly more full effect. Without it, the dress does lay somewhat flat (my hips do flare it out a bit without the petticoat). I gave it 5 stars b/c for the price and what was received the only thing I could even be upset about is the fact that I have to iron it. (Not even mad at it). Would highly recommend.

This dress is exactly what I was looking for. The material isn’t crazy thick, it’s just enough that it covers my stomach area without clinging. I went a size up on the dress since so many reviews mentioned that the bust isn’t very giving for those with a large chest. I like the way the dress fit around my stomach and hips, it had breathing room. Meaning if I ate something or sat down I wouldn’t be trying to keep my stomach sucked in. The chest is a bit large though, but I can’t say I mind since making the adjustment isn’t too bad. But if I didn’t know how to alter it, it would be so bad since the back has the strings to tighten it. Oh and the blue is so vibrant!

I really love this dress. Polka dots are always a go to for me especially red and black. How cute does it look with red lipstick!?The dress fit as expected. I usually wear a size 16 dress and a 38 C cup. It was a little loose on top but nothing the corset on the back couldn't fix. That corset on the back is great. Not only does it make the top of the dress tighter, if you need it. It also helps bring out your curves. Plus the halter helps with altering how high or low you would like it.The only down side is the piece around the waist to create the bow. I had thought the bow was apart of the dress but it is a separate piece. For me it is not long enough to make a cute bow in the front or back. It makes a small awkward one.

I ordered this dress just knowing that I would have to return it. It seemed way too good to be true that a dress in this hard to find style would be well-made and actually fit for such a low price.All of the vintage style clothing companies charge an arm and a leg for this type of dress so honestly I was not expecting much. I was quite presently surprised to try this on and see that it fits perfectly.The material is sturdy, stitching is even and strong and there is a very slight amount of stretch. It feels like a quality garment. Not see through in the least, no slip needed at all.For reference I am 5’0, 105 lbs with a 30E bust, size small in this dress is ideal for size 0-2, could probably even go up to size 4 because the neck and back are so adjustable.The skirt could stand to be hemmed up a few inches but the rest of the dress fits very, very well. The skirt is full, I’m going to wear a crinoline but it would still look great without one.Quite satisfied and I plan to buy a several of the other colors.
