Not a bad little scratcher/lounger. The only thing I might suggest to the seller is to update the description and warn that this isn’t really big enough for any cat over about 9lbs. It really needs to be a small cat for this particular one.That being said, our cats don’t seem to care about its size! Both have lounged and scratched on it.I didn’t use the packet of catnip that came with it. This kind of thing isn’t really a great place to put loose leaf dried catnip. If it were sprayed with catnip spray, that’d be much better. I have a bottle of it and used it on the lounger and our cat was rubbing himself all over it for at least an hour!All in all, this isn’t a bad little lounger, just be sure you’re aware of what you’re purchasing before buying it. It is a small lounger, better for small to medium-small cats.UPDATE:We've had this scratcher/lounger for 2 years now, and our larger cat (pictured) still uses it regularly. He loves to curl up on it and look regal. He actually gets upset if our smaller cat tries to lay on it. Even so, I don't know that I would buy it again. It's really too small for him, even though he has the "if I fits I sits" mentality. He can't actually sleep on it, because his legs will slide off. He just curls up on it when he wants to just survey the room for a bit. This would be great for kittens and very small adult cats for the intended lounger use. Medium to large cats, though, nope. You'd be better served to find something a little larger.

Like other reviewers have noted, this is a tiny sized scratcher, imagine the dimensions of a legal sized (long) piece of paper. Though, it's working out OK. Requires no assembly, however I found some adhesive rubber feet in my junk drawer and added them to the bottom to reduce skid. I placed it under one of my kitty's favorite windows, and waited for him to see. He walked by several times without noticing even though I was saying, "look! look!" So I used my fingernail to make a scratching sound on it, he stopped in his tracks and his eyes dilated with joy and excitement. Immediately he pounced on top of the scratcher and vigorously scratched one end, turned around, did the other end. "MINE!" He laid down with his face pressed against it and tail wrapped around in a tail-hug. He loves it. Kitty is a big lard, and just barely fits, his saggy fat lops over the sides when he lays on it. But he does love to lay on it anyway, and looks so content with his face nestled into the curve. It looks so cute and his joy brings me and my family joy.

It’s soooo cute. They say it’s for small cats & they aren’t kidding. its small even for my smaller cat. I’d go with REALLY small or even for kittens. Really wish they had one for bigger cats. Lol :)P.S. One of my smaller cats, Freya, looooves this scratcher. Both of the smaller cats would use this tons more if it was just a bit bigger! They both really like sitting on it too! Very cute. (Thanks to the maker)!Update: our smallest cat who is really too big for this scratchey still does her best to fit on it & has had many naps on it. Despite the size discrepancy, it’s clearly hers. 😂😂 I would totally buy this again (& plan to when it’s time)!

The price was right for the product and useful.

We adopted a rescue cat one year ago and we found out that she loves scratching on this type of pad (not our furniture, thankfully) When we realized how much she enjoyed the one we bought from Homeward Pet we bought this fancier one from Amazon for our bedroom upstairs. (we love to spoil her!) The minute Ken put it on the floor (after I gave it a nice dusting of catnip, of course) Moxie immediately started scratching it. My mother raised Persians for over 40 years (1950's to 1990's) and I've never seen this type of scratch pad, might have saved some couches & chairs over the years. ;~} Something in its design & texture makes it irresistible! 100% recommend to all cat lovers that want to protect their furniture without declawing! ~ Tracey

Although my cat is to big to lay on it. She does scratch on it. So overall I’m happy I bought it

The minute I unpacked them (yes I have 2 cats!), they both took to their new ‘beds’. They’re made well, good value! I bought the large which is purrr-fect for my 11 lb sweetie, and her 9 lb brother. This was a great find!

this little leopard print chaise lounge is perfect... heads up your cat will fit even if it is an adult, but it will look funny lol.... i thought at least my 'larger end of average' cat would be able to curl up on it..& does! she absolutely dangles off if she's not 'cinnamon rolled'... still ... she does fit! her standing on it in the pic is deceiving to that fact... the curves help ... if you have a smaller cat you have to get this! if you have an average cat its worth the price... if you have a bigger cat its gonna make a nice little chair...

Barely got this out of the box and my cat's were all over it. I do prefer to use catnip spray instead of the packet that comes with it as it just falls through the holes. New sleeping area as well.
