The GEL-Nimbus 21 offers the best ride with the introduction of Adaptive GEL, which provides more cushioning. The updated FluidRide provides a more responsive fit in lighter packaging and a 360 fluid upper adapts to your foot, while strategic overlays seamlessly wrap and support your feet during the run. Improved upper fit. Gradient mesh combined with 3D printing provides an excellent fit and combines the right amount of flex and support. Another durable method provides more space in the toe area. Improve the fit with new eye-stay design. The star shape makes the eye deformable longer, which improves the static and dynamic fit.

Exactly what I needed and Expected
I love the colors and have already gotten great compliments on the light blue with orange accent. They are super support all around and fit my foot perfectly. Initially a little snug, but within two days, they fit like a glove. The heel support is great. One drawback is little to no arch support. It doesn’t bother me, but may be important to others.I have a 5.5 woman’s foot and sometime I find that the sides of the shoe come up too high around my ankle and rub. It can be as if the shoe was made smaller in length but not in height. This is NOT the case with these shoes, they are proportionate and perfect.

Did a lot of research!
I've taken to hiking recently - and as someone who was/is overweight (obese in fact!) I needed shoes that were good for that and would still support me as I was starting out. So I did a TON of research, read a ton of articles - many of whom recommended ASICS - and eventually I settled on these, the nimbus. And let me tell you: they're WONDERFUL. They're supportive, perfect both for the jogging I've taken up and they keep me steady when hiking from the most simple trails to more rugged ones.I've actually recommended these to friends too - one was complaining about some shoes she bought being terrible, but after recommending her these she's been glowing about them. So I can recommend them! DEFINITELY especially good if you're overweight and picking up things that are hard on the legs!

Wear out fast
The most comfortable shoe ever but the big toe poked a hole right through the top of the thin mesh fabric about 3 months into wearing them. And I work from home so I only wear them on weekends… so now they are just looking old and crappy

Smidge tight by ok.
I love Asics and I wear a hard 10 in them. This pair Is slightly tight, I almost sent them back. I’m hoping they’ll stretch out a smidgeon. I love the gel cushioning. The pic to me, didn’t look gold, I thought they were more of a tan, but they’re growing on me. Overall nice shoe.

great cushion on impact
I ordered this shoe because of its high recommendation for those prone to shin splints. Met expectations on that account - after first workout, no more throbbing; after 3 workouts (one week), very minimal pain.Shoe definitely hugs foot tightly and is not the soft flex that I was used to with Nike, actually concerned me at first, but several steps into running, and the cushion was worth it. Now I appreciate the snug across the metatarsal and achilles, and am not bothered by the rubbing that I was concerned with at first.I first ordered a size 6 which is my dress shoe size. I had to return because iret was too tight, and order a 6.5 which is what I wear in Nike (I should have known better). If you're very concerned about color, this choice is slightly more orange looking from top than I expected from pictures.

Awesome shoe, great fit.
I LOVE these!!! I want to qualify that statement with the facts that these are my first pair of ASICS. I have read a lot of reviews here and there on different brands where people do not like certain shoes because along the way the shoes have changed in different ways- these are the 21’s. Since this is my fist pair, I did not have a previous #/series to compare them to. I have pretty much only ever owned Nike’s. I needed something that offered more support all around, and this shoe has definitely offered that. I have been wearing them nightly for a couple weeks on the treadmill, and I am definitely happy with them. I have serious lower back problems, hence the need for the extra support. I am super happy with my choice in these shoes! I even had my husband purchase the 21’s in the men’s style.

Saved me hundreds in physical therapy
I had been wearing Nike running shoes to walk in. I walk about 3 miles a day. I was having sciatic pain IT band pain or some sort of pain running up and down my left leg. I had had a cyst in my ankle and pain in my hip. My physical therapist, whom I had spent hundreds of dollars on told me I should try Asics or Brooks tennis shoes to walk in. I have had very little pain if any since I started wearing these ASICS to walk in. I have noticed that I am starting to get a bunion but that runs in my family I do not believe it’s from the shoes. I will continue to buy these shoes at any price just for the fact that I don’t have to go to physical therapy now or spend the money on it. So happy with the shoes.

Runs small and narrow
I ordered a pair of the Kayano 25 and this pair, both in a size 10. The Nimbus were definitely shorter in length than the Kayano. I’d say about half a size. The Nimbus are also tighter/narrower across the width of the shoe in the front and they felt too tight and small overall. The Nimbus was a nice shoe, so if you have a narrow foot they might work. They actually fit my son really well on the width. He has almost the same size feet as me but swims in most adult men’s sneakers because they are too wide. I’ll be keeping the Kayano for myself and will keep these in mind for the next time my son needs running shoes!
